Gasol for MVP

The Lakers are 21-5 with Gasol. They were 35 - 20 without him.

That's a winning percentage of 0.636, good for only 7th in the West.

So why does Kobe get all the credit, why not Gasol?

Would we even be mentioning Kobe if the Lakers were a 7th seed?

In the last few years the Lakers finished 7th and 8th. Now with Gasol they are 1st. The Lakers are winning over 80% of the games Gasol plays in. How can he not be in the discussion? At the very least, he takes away a lot of votes for Kobe.

For my money, the MVP is Chris Paul. :D

Watch one Lakers game, and then you'll understand why Kobe gets more credit than Gasol.
