OT: Melo gets arrested for DUI
It makes you appreciate that Jazz players have stayed out of the news for things like this. If you make millions of dollars, can't you pay someone to drive you home at 4am if you're too drunk?

Gee, and we get surprised when people see comments like that and think we're classless.
Keep it clean and civil, please, gents. I really don't see the point of this thread at all, so unless something interesting comes of it very quickly, that'll be the end.

No offense, but I dont care what other fan bases think...whether or not we are classless or not.
Carmello is an idiot and he is an embarrassment to the sport. By driving drunk he risked the life of innocent people who were just driving down the road. Try knocking on someone's door at 3 am and telling them that their family member has been killed because some idiot decided he didnt want to call a cab or that he could make it home. I dont wish death upon anyone, but id rather he crash and kill himself rather than hit and kill someone else.

I am not here to down the Nuggets organization or anything, I am not out to bash anyone but...
This is just a selfish and immature act on his part, and it's just another bad sign in a long line of mistakes he has made. It reminds me of the fight he got into with New York. He had no reason to do it, it could have been easily avoided and it's going to end up costing him and his big time.
Basically it shows he has poor decision making when it counts and it will plague him not only during his career but during his entire life if it continues.
For his sake I hope he starts to consider that these little things, when piled up look like a much larger problem and will follow him wherever he goes. He is a hell of a talent and I would love to see him maximize on his potential, but it will take more then basketball practice to get him to that point.
Most importantly I am glad the Jazz choose not to associate themselves with people like Robert Whaley who no matter what kind of luck or blessing or whatever you want to believe got them to the NBA they can't function effectively in society.

In purely basketball logic I actually feel bad for Nuggets fans.
You still arent in the playoffs, you still even have a chance to get the 7 seed and your Franchise guy is out there getting sh^+ faced. They are human, they are adults and are able to make their own decisions, but I mean come on Melo, what the hell are you doing out there with 3 days left in the season.
I already know that the Denver police and Organization will do nothing. If David Stern wants to send a message then suspend the guy for the first game of the playoffs.
I know our players arent saints, Ive seen them out there doing their thing, but at least they are responsible.
The Denver organization is flirting with Jail Blazers status or Thuggets in this sense. They need to shed that image and fast. Their problem is they have a team filled with ego trippin guys with baggage and until they balance that team out they will be nothing more then a 1st rd exit.

Are you kidding me? What on earth is classless about ripping on a drunk driver? That worthless sack of skin could've hit and killed your mom -- I bet you wouldn't give a damn about being classless then, eh?
Let's call a turd a turd, and say that Carmello Anthony is one of the biggest sacks of soggy boners to ever put on a jersey -- hell, to ever be born. It would've been the highlight of my life to read that he ran into a wall, or rolled into a ditch while driving drunk.
What really frosts my anus is that the league/state won't do jack squat, and he'll get off with a slap on the wrist. If I were coaching his team, he would be DONE for the season. If he played for the Jazz (or say, Williams or Boozer was in this situation) I would support the coach SITTING HIS ASS for the rest of the season. There is NO excuse for this kind of behavior.
Did I mention that I wish Crymella would've been mangled in a fiery car crash? Because I wish he would've. Maybe not died, because that's just too quick and easy, but maybe lose a limb or two? Have to replace his hands with his feet? That'd rule. Up yours, Mello, you crusty tube-sock.

Hey Wells your need to chill out. Yes the guy made a huge mistake, and could have seriously hurt or even killed someone. But to wish death on him or even being mangled and burned in a crash? Dude, you have issues.
I posted this thread just to pass on information about our division rival.
The NFL has taken a stand against players who get into trouble with the law. The new commish does not put up with it in any way. Carmello should be punished by the NBA becuase he is a superstar and this incident reflects poorly on the NBA. Too many people are counting on him for him to make poor decisions.

If my comments regarding a thug criminal get me 'waived' (whatever that means -- banned?) then this site is gayer than I thought.

I see you still havent figured out that using firefox is better...
Make the comments all you want, your problem is you completely cross the line. There is nothing to discuss about your point (start treatment) when you make vulgar comments about Carmelo suffering slow and painful torture. Anyway I hope this site is "gayer then you thought" although Im not convinced that would be make you leave.
Still waiting for you to actually make some type of intelligent basketball comment. Although all your up the butt, rim and crusty tube sock references are classic.
