Don't know if you've already gone down this road but this number allows you to leave a message for stern. During business hours, you get a live receptionist. Call and express your opinions, and keep calling.

but please be civil. no name calling or foul language. in the most professional way possible, express your displeasure over the situation and ask him to help find a solution.

i just left a message and asked that the league come forward and be forthright and honest about the situation regarding the emails and the originall intentions of bennett and co. i told him how dissapointed i was to be treated this way by an organization my family and i have supported for almost 30 years. i also expressed my intentions to no longer support the nba if the sonics were allowed to move.

thanks for the number seattle sun. maybe you could post it on the general board.

i thought about that but then i thought the number would be inundated with 8 year old lakers fans lobbying for kobe to win mvp or any other number of lame messages being left. i would like for the message box to be filled wth sonics concern right now and not diluted by a bunch of other BS.

and i agree with trying to be civil while showing your disgust at the same time. my message mentioned the negative impact being in bed with these hicks will have on his legacy. post the number in the lunch room at work, maybe some going to the game tonight can print up a bunch of papers with the number and spread it all around? i'm not planning on going tonight, maybe i should though..

I probably wouldn't post that number on the General Board. Like yearsago and Seattlesun suggests, it may open up a can of worms with people calling it for the wrong reasons.

What about an email addy to stern or the league office, does anyone have any knowledge of one?

I have used the voicmail before to call up and post my opinions on the double standard the league has for Kmart (flagrant fouls and the suspension). I don't think I will attempt to do anything that might hurt you guys and your cause though. Even though I hope you guys find a way to keep the Sonics in Seattle, I don't think I would be much help in calling the number.

Try dstern@nba.com or David.Stern@nba.com, I've seen those around on some websites I did when searching

Thanks, I saw a link with the dstern@nba.com addy before. The person said they tried it and it didn't bounce back, but they also said that they never got anything resembling a response. I will try them both

Worst that'll happen is that it'll end in an NBA.com catch-all inbox somewhere I guess.

As for the number and email; I'm not a fan of that. What good do you think spamming David Sterns email and voicemail will do? :dontknow:

Starting a petition (I'm sure there's already one out there though lol) and heavily involving the media would have much more effect I'd say. The media give you a lot more power to put pressure on the guys upstairs than spamming their voicemail and email will give you.
