Playoff tickets on sale today

Post#1 » by y 2 a B » Mon Apr 14, 2008 7:53 pm

I got to get playoff tickets as an insider about a few days before they came out to the general public, but all that was available were crappy upper bowl seats. Now that they are open to the general public, I'm able to get center court and very good lower bowl seats. Go figure.

Anyway, I will probably be going to a game in the playoffs, maybe possibly a few depending on how far the team advances.

Just curious to see how many people on the boards are going.

I have a 15 game plan, and got my tickets last Tuesday during the ticketholder presale.

The best available seats were upper bowl.

And now the general public gets lower bowl?

That's lame.

In fact, i'm pretty damn pissed off about that. I'm stuck with upper bowl when I could be sitting center court/lower bowl for 30 bucks more per ticket. I'd pay that in a heartbeat.

Sect 102 Row J $150 each

I too checked when insider tix went on sale and all they had was upper bowl. Wonder why they waited for the general public to sale lower bowl seats?

Seems like a slap in the face of the people who paid thousands for ticket plans.....

at least to me it does.

(and i'm not talking about the insider presale, there was an earlier presale to ticket holders)

They did the same thing last year, that's why I waited until the 'general' public got access to the tickets. As to why they do that, it beats me. :dontknow:

they do it because if they didn't let the general public get some lower bowl seats people would be upset that just because they didn't buy a ticket package during the season they have to sit in the upper bowl and in the nosebleeds.

Unfortunately for me I had planned on buying em today cause I knew there'd be good seats available. But on Friday I blew out a tire on St John's Bridge (some asshat had some small PVC pipe come flying out his truck's back and I couldn't avoid it). So there went my Games 1 and 2 playoff tickets. Might still get some if I find a few extra bucks. But probably will miss at least Game 1.

But I paid over $1000 for a package....

I still think I should have priority over the general public.

But i'm just glad i'm going to a game.

If we make the second round, hopefully I can grab some lower bowl seats.

I definitely agree you should get priority, which is why you were allowed to purchase tickets first. I'd say the only amendment they need to make is that if you bought a package, you should be able to buy tickets before the general public for that section. For instance if you bought lower bowl tickets with that package, you should be able to purchase those tickets for the playoffs, or at least have the opportunity before the general public can.

If the series goes farther than Game 4 (which is likely), I'll definitely have to get a Game 5 and/or 7 ticket (hopefully it doesn't go to 7 and we rap it up in 4 or 5, lol).

Yeah, in that case, i'd be in the lower bowl....

But, oh well.....

I'm just pumped up for game one, regardless of my seats.

This is going to be a fun series.
