I'd have to go w/the Nuggets...
Even though the Lakers have dominated them this yr in the regular season, I just don't see A.I, Melo & Camby going out without a fight. With the playoffs being more of a halfcourt game, I think they matchup w/them better.

The Lakers just own Dalllas for some reason. . .the Mavs could be leading by double digits the entire game, but come 4th quarter. . .everyone seems to know that they Lakers are gonna come back and win

The Lakers have been killing the Nuggets this season while all the games against Dallas have been close.

Even though all the games have been close, Dallas just lets elite wings get the best of them all the time. Wade in the finals is a great example; Kobe dropping 62 after 3 quarters; all the games this season. When it comes down to the wire, teams usually change up their game plan to get the ball out of Kobe's hands, Dallas doesn't do this and they get wrecked every time. Add to that the fact that Kobe will get every call and it's a wrap.

can anybody fill me in on how the Lakers beat Denver as much as they do?..

just looking at how the teams match up, I don't understand how Denver has so much trouble..

I realize that Denver can't defend the perimeter, but LA isn't great neither..can't stop Kobe, but they can throw Iverson and Anthony offensively too..they also have Smith and Kleiza that should be able to produce against the Lakers perimeter D..they can throw Nene, Camby and Martin at Gasol and Odom..

^^ I could probably right a page about how the Lakers match up better, but it doesn't really matter because it's about how you utilize your players. In this regard PJ>>>>>>>>>>>>>GK

Did you watch the last game the played each other? They were throwing weak double teams at Kobe. They were fully committing but they weren't taking away the passing angle. Kobe just tore them up; the lakers just match up better defensively.

Fisher/Farmar can slow down AI and make him work on the other end.

Odom/Ariza can slow down Melo and Odom can make him work on the other end.

But who guards Kobe?

They start Anthony Carter who is their best perimeter defender, but he doesn't have the size to match up with Kobe. Kleiza doesn't have the quicks and JR just isn't smart enough defensively. This forces Denver to double team and they just can't do that because of the Lakers shooting, so now they have to pick their poison. Their in a bit of a pickle.

I hope that explains it well enough.

we got creamed by them in LA twice, the game in Denver was close the whole way. i honestly cant say why we get killed by them, but its not kobe that beats us. its farmar, vagivic, and fisher which is much more painful.

Not really sure, you would think Denver could beat them. I think if they met in the playoffs it could be a different story.

that game the lakers were completely lacking frontcourt depth. they were missing kwame and ronny at the time and although andrew bynum played, he was very sick and had missed the previous game. chris mihm had to play over 20 minutes, something he's done twice all year in competitive games. ai also had arguably his best game of the year too. lakers still won.

Its just because were the better team, we play as a team. The Nuggets on the other hand play like this Al, Smith, and Melo are the scorers, Martin, Camby, and nene are the rebounders, and Anthony Carter is their best defender. Yeah no wonder we beat them.
