Are you done supporting Nuggets this year because of DUI?

Post#1 » by pickaxe » Tue Apr 15, 2008 12:53 am

Some people have really strong opinions about driving drunk - as it endangers people's lives and is one of the most irresponsible things that you can do. Some people just don't give a damn. My question to you is, as a representative of the Nuggets, Melo acted very irresponsibly, and because of it does anyone here just want nothing more to do with the team or is it full speed ahead with the rest of the players?

Oh well...I think it's a serious question. If we condemn Anthony and support the rest of the team, or if this is the last story and it has just absolutely drained everyone.

Melo did something stupid, there's no defending that but let's not blow this thing out of proportion. I'd say 99% of us in here know someone who has gotten a DUI/DWAI (DWAI might be what melo plea's down to on a first offense.) They aren't all bad people, they just got caught doing a very dumb thing.

Athlete's shoot up parking lots, Start fights with fans, commit adultery, get addicted to Alcohol/Drugs/Gambling just as much as regular people do. Hell even our politicians can't keep their **** in their pants. Can't put these people on pedestals.

I've stuck around for the team's 4-16 playoff record since '04, I'll stick around now.

No. Why should I care about Melo's immature behavior; it's a TEAM I support and Melo is FAR from the whole Denver Nuggets Team. Melo could quit on the team if he wants; I just know AI will put his all to win every Denver game.

Oh, Yeah Congrats AI on POW (3rd this YEAR)

Don't be a ****. You think AI has never drove drunk, Bron, Kobe. Think before you speak dumbass. Everyone messes up. He made a mistake thankfully he did not hurt none and can learn without a major consequence. Yes I support the Nuggets and Melo!

No, I will still support the Nuggs. I just don't like Melo as much as I did before this incident because it is horrible timing from a team standpoint.

I'm not quite sure he was saying that AI has never done such a thing. I think he was more so referring to if Carmelo was to miss some time because of this, AI would still play hard with or without Melo playing. Anways, I support this team because they've done more good off the court then bad.

The only one being an a**** is you my friend. How many DUI's do Bron, Kobe, or AI have? Better yet how many of them have taken a cheap shot and ran? He cost the nuggets how many games again?? And now this; I smell a pattern here. Sorry if im getting under your skin but you asked for it sounding like a whiney brat of a homer. Why don't you stop imitating Melo's immaturity and cut the personal insult crap.

Psst...Melo says DON'T SNITCH!

Kobe has a rape trial, Lebron was caught driving 100 and laughing about it, AI well he went to jail for assault now didn't he? uh oh!!!! you're golden boy is the only one thats actually been to jail! haha.

of course im going to support the nuggets. melo made a dumb decision, it seems to be an annual thing. nothing we can do but hope he figures it out but hes still innocent until proven guilty.

LeBron getting pulled over for 100mph = Sportcenter news, makes him look like a funny guy.

Carmelo with a DUI probably not even speeding = Team cancer, end of the world, horrible person, wannabe gangster, ect.

Learn how it works guys.

Stop crying about LeBron. Unles court prove me wrong, (and I suspect it's not gonna be that way) Melo has been an ****. A lot of players on the league has done worse things, and even if he was under the influence, if you drive slow you aren't that big of a threat to people's life. But still...

Back to the OT, I've been supporting this team for years. Their player's mental retardation doesn't affect whether I root for this TEAM. Yeah, I know a lot of you people on the board, who are a PLAYER's fan doesn't understand this, but try it. If the 97/98, 98/99 and 02/03 seasons didn't get me done with the Nuggets, nothing will.

meh... not a real fan if this is even a question. People do dumb things, learn, and hopefully move on. Melo seems to be a man of self improvement as he has shown. This could even be a turning point for him... we'll see how it goes.

Well said....I think that Kobe Bryant is a punk that wishes he had any street cred, and most people around the league think he's a Jordan wanna be with half the talent. I say that he shouldn't have any titles without Shaq, and he won't ever get one without Shaq.....not to mention he's a felon that got off, and a b_tch. Now get the f_ck outta here troll.
