The problem is there won't be as many fouls called in the playoffs were tonight so coming back in big games is going to be a long shot.

Also the Jazz completely relaxed tonight, again that won't happen in the playoffs.

Yeah, I agree. Even if we have the HC, I'd still have you guys as the favs. Just saying we'd have a chance. Also, i'm not really sure that refs stop the whistles in the po's anymore (at least to the extent that they used to anyway). It's pretty inconsistent from what I've seen in recent years.

Yea we understand this. As I said in this thread...the Rockets have no come back ability in them. We have to keep the games close and win at the end. Thats something we are good at.

If you guys win against the Clippers which you obviously will. Then it comes down to Utah @ San Antonio.

If the Jazz win you guys play the Suns with HCA in the first round, if the Jazz lose they play you in Houston in the first round.

Pretty nutty.

Yea that Clipper game for us is big. Anything can happen. Might seem like a sure win but you never know with so much on the line.

I thought the Rockets needed this for homecourt or else they would not get it at all. At least we still have a shot at it, hopefully we may get it.

Well I said earlier that anything less than a 15 point loss would be a moral victory, partly joking but I did like the effort in the fourth quarter. McGrady was horrible yet again, couldn't grab a single rebound and only lost by 9 at Utah. I really wish Landry would play well but seems he's not fully recovered and I was really hoping to see some more Novak when we went through our normal offensive droughts.

Overall though, once again a horrible effort by McGrady (though 7-21 is pretty good for him these days) and inability to get a rebound late in the game hurt us too much to overcome anything.

I don't think it'll really matter though, for some reason, I think we might play Phoenix...

Adelman is a smart coach. He's preparing something for the playoffs, watch. If we play the Jazz we have a chance of an upset, especially with Skip back and Battier closer to healthy. If it's the Suns, good luck, I think we're out in 5 games. Rick probably used this game to see lineups that will/might work against the Jazz, hence the lack of play for Novak and more for Harris and Hayes. Good move as a coach I would say b/c you get to test lineups in a game that doesn't mean as much as a playoff game. Whether we get HC or not, we HAVE TO WIN at home. If we play like we've played in the past giving up any games at home. Goodbye.
