Bad thread.
Seriously, if you call Dwight, Yao and even LBJ bad defenders, you really need to watch a few more games.

Based on defense how does Perkins not belong in the discussion? He defends the post better than Howard. I don't expect him to make an All-Defense team because he only plays 24 minutes, but I do believe he's a better defender. Whoever said Howard is a top 5 DPOY guy is out of his mind. He's barely top 5 for centers.
If the Magic didn't have Dwight they be one of the worst defensive teams in the league. There are 3 aspects of defense. Team, Individual and defensive rebounding. We don't even need to talk about the rebounding. Next just go to team and look at the defensive stats of Rashard Lewis at PF in Seattle and now in Atlanta. PF can't take advantage of Rashard because Dwight ability to get over and help out so fast. Individually who lighting him up?

Bogut and LeBron have tremendously improved defensively, even to the point where I'd call them above average.
Yao has anchored a Top 5 defensive team EVERY year he's been in the league and Howard is also one of the best anchors in the entire league. The only player that would fit the bill of your description on that list is Bargnani.
