You're welcome guys..
I thought the direct quotes would help on a couple things in this discussion.
I found a lot of what he said to Homer very interesting, and again, I will hold to my perspective that Hammond is less concerned about the SG, SF and PF positions at this point than the PG position.. I think he believes in having quality there (in all the positions) but his major concentration is on the PG and C. Those two positions HAVE to be good-very good-to great and everything else falls into place in his opinion. So if I were Hammond and I began evaluating this team from a position of a brand new executive for this ball club and all the things that I quoted from him were my mentality then I would have to think Mo Williams is a huge concern.
That's why I think, although Hammond might see the need to move Redd (if he doesn't believe he can play the Rip Hamilton role).. that moving Redd isn't his top priority (although I think he would go ahead and make a trade involving him if the pieces were right). Again the "deficiencies of the PG play expose the team"... with that in mind, Mo isn't a creator for his teammates. He's selfish. He doesn't play any semblance of defense< He is only concerned with getting his (stats wise)..He is soft as butter, etc. and those are all things that characterize this team in general. If you go by Hammonds thinking then the most logical person for him to make his top priority on the trade list is Mo Williams.

I agree, sis. Based on his comments about Redd and based on his comments about the PG position (and his refusal thus far to endorse Mo as a top player the way he did Bogut and Yi and even Redd) I think his No. 1 priority will be moving Mo and bringing in the type of PG he believes this team needs. I think he may view Redd in a similar fashion to how Stackhouse was viewed when Dumars took over in Detroit. Stackhouse stayed for two seasons, including one strong 50-win season and a trip to the second round of the playoffs, until the right deal for him came along. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the same thing happen with Redd.
Nothing will not break me.
