I really think you guys need to chill. We had a player who cheated on his wife during the off season, and almost ruined the franchise bcuz of that. But we did not call him a thug or anything in that nature. People need to stop calling names, and look at you're self in the mirror.

you said he cheated on his wife and you compare that with drunk driving? one is illegal the other one is a sin, while one can hurt your family emotionally the other can kill someone. and by reading some of your posts in other boards and here I get the feeling that you do hate on Kobe but try to do it very tacfully.

are you a Heat fan too by any chance you remind me of an old aquaitance of this board who was also named "dub".

curious observation on my part- I was watching the D-fenders yesterday on NBAtv and Karl sr was watching Karl jr from the stands in Bakersfield. I know he is Cobys father and all, but shouldn't he be also preparing his team? or at least be in the same state as his team.
I realize that he has 2 days off before his next game, but come on.

LOLL ESPN said Melo was in a video made last year in the streets of his hometown, which was about "how to get away from the perfect crime" The video was shot on the streets by former and current gang members how to get away from the crime.

Now I ask you how getto is that??

Is this guy the biggest cheese head or what??

Need to chill? Are you serious? Comparing cheating to drunk driving? Way to also generalize people for generalizing. Nice.

Personally, I always look myself in the mirror before calling other people names, btw. I never drive drunk, nor do I ever cheat.

One of my very best friends is in a coma still, two years after being hit by a drunk driver who blew a red light in an SUV. My buddy was one of the best, kindest, funniest and smartest people around and one of the best musicians on this planet. Today he's a vegetable.

If I could have my way, I'd like to beat some sense into Melo's stupid pea brain senseless head. I hope they suspend him for a long effing time. I don't agree with, but I can understand someone who can't afford a cab and might drive after having a drink or two, but that's not the case here, is it? Dito for Dr Jerry Buss, btw.

Melo is a stupid idiot and a trashy, arrogant piece of crap thug for driving drunk and/or high. Kobe was a stupid idiot for cheating on his wife, but in no way did he jeopardize people's lives. Not much of a difference to you?

Do you know how long it takes to get to Denver and back? He's a good father,he can fly there and back in no time. He should praised for this, not many fathers are this supportive.

I am questioning the timing not his fatherly devotion. he has his star player in hot water with the law he was (yesterday at least) in a heated race for his teams playoff life. I would think he should have been in Denver. Coby is a big boy he can play a game without his dad in the audience.

now that they have secured the playoff spot and has had time to see what is up with Melo would be different if he went to a D-fenders game.

Melo needs to learn how to throw a legit punch before people can proclaim him a "thug".
