Well his whole hire me for GM act is over, I don't know why Homer bothers to have him on again.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Would you guys, or john hammond, possibly entertain the thought of making Bill Simmons an assistant? If we can't make him the GM, it would be nice to at least have him in our front office staff. I don't know a whole lot about his credentials, but he does show great enthusiasm for this team and this city. You wouldn't even have to give him a big role, just a title so he can be in the front office. I think that would be kind of cool.

As our season was going down the toilet the "Simmons for GM" thing was fun to goof around with.

But now we have a real gm and soon a real coach. It's time to get serious about winning and let Simmons go back to writing his (sometimes) humorous column.

Agreed. Matter o'fact, I'm not sure why his opinion even matters anymore? Maybe it's just me though.

Because it's Homer. And Homer's a tool

On with Homer now.

Doesn't think the Bucks have much trade bait. Thinks Redd to the Cav's if they take Simmons or Gadz bad contract.

Thinks Yi is 24 and not going anywhere as a player since that makes him a year older than Dwight Howard.

Thinks the team needs a better low post player than Bogut. Said Bogut is nice but no nasty guy who can score down low.

Said Mo is a great spot up shooter. Not a PG but try to develop or use Mo in this role.

But overall he's not making a lot of sense and contradicting himself.

He talks in circles.

One second he talked about how Beasley and Mo Williams would work out perfectly together........the next he said Beasley wasn't a good fit in Milwaukee, comparing him to when we got Glenn Robinson.

And the only way the Cavs take Redd/Simmons and Gadz is if we take Ben Wallace which would be idiotic IMO. They don't have enough expirings to take all of those contracts for nothing.

Based on what a few of you have said, I again wonder why we even care what he has to say at all. It was supposed to be a joke before but I think a few of you actually lost your mind and actually now think his opinion is something more than comic relief.

Nah...it is a case of someone thinking Gary Payton was still an all-star in 2005. Bill Simmons was an outstanding NBA mind......but then he went off to Hollywood/ESPN/Family and now doesn't follow this stuff like he needs to in order to have good opinions. But I keep waiting for the old Gary Payton (Simmons) to show back up.....but he doesn't. But 10 years ago Simmons was excellent.

Tonight was bad. Homer didn't know how to channel him and I think Simmons was multi-tasking on his PC and not even paying attention to what he was saying. Simmons has become his own version of Mitch Albom.
