A Blazers offer

Post#1 » by Telfaire » Tue Apr 15, 2008 8:27 pm

Hello, wanted to know how you'd feel about trading May, Dudley and the rights to Westbrook for Frye, Jack and the 13th pick - let's assume at least one out of Jordan, McGee and Thabeet is available.
We also have several 2nd round picks to add (Knicks, Memphis...)

I don't think it's a bad idea, but in it's current format we would be giving up too much to move down in the draft.

You might get:

May
2008 8th overall pick

for

Frye
Jack
2008 14th overall pick

But I can't see Dude being included.

When healthy May is better than Frye, Dude is better than Jack and obviously the #8 is better than the #14 so there would be too many down grades for us to bite IMO.

Well, Jack and Frye for May doesn't work salary wise...
Now, I agree about May been better than Frye when healthy...but he hasn't been healthy ever since he entered the league, and Frye's skill set could mesh better with Wallace and Okafor. Just a thought.

Dudely hasn't done enough in the league to say he's better than Jack...and once again, I think you could Jack as backup PG more than Dudley at SF, with Morisson coming back next year.

And BTW, our pick would most likely be #13, not #14.

Dudley has done enough this season to say that he's already better than Morrison and I think most of us would say he's a better fit as a Bobcat than Jack.

Bobcats would probably swap May and Frye and their 1sts if Portland added a 2nd.

Deal. Would have been nice to have Dudley as well, though...

Yea... that's why we don't want to trade him for Jack...

I don't blame you. Dude and Roy on the same team would be a nice pair as they are both very high BBIQ guys..

Yeah, Dudley is a hard find we're gonna need to keep him around. I think he's already looking like our future defensive stopper/energy guy off the bench/hustler.
