We need a hardazz, but they also need to have people skills, and carry a lot more clout. Carlisle and Brown fit that bill, I dont think Coach K going all Scarface on all the players works with this crowd.

Skiles would be a solid choice if you had a hard nosed type team.I agree Skiles wouldnt work at all with this current roster but then agian this roster will probably undergo a bunch of changes this offseason.

Thats another trend the Bucks have fallen into in recent years (besides hiring sorry ass unproven coaches),they aquire to many soft players with oversized egos.

Get some damn hard nosed players that will take on a challenge and not get their panties in a bunch like a sissy when their coach challenges them.

As for the coaches in my personal order.

1.JVG
2.RC
3.Larry Brown
4.Skiles

As mentioned you cant realy go wrong with any of those guys but i'd be a bit skeptical with Skiles.

JVG is 1a and RC 1b.

Even if a ton of trades are made, the core of this team has to be able to play with some freedom to be productive. Skiles, Carlisle, JVG, and Brown would all just butt heads with these guys constantly. The team has the potential to be an offensive juggernaut, and we need a coach who can channel that. George Karl, Don Nelson, Jim O'Brien, Rick Adelman - those are the kind of coaches we need.

If the Bucks bring back largely the same group of soft overpaid players, it won't matter what coach they hire.

I think it's fair to assume there will be attempts to vastly overhaul the roster, not just bring in a new coach.

Yeah, a career .528 winning percentage and playoff appearances five out of eight years...doesn't get any worse than that...

Frankly I think outside of paying far more than any of the above coaches ever expected in their lives, but maybe VG, none of them would come to Milwaukee. Established coaches don't have a record of risking their records on average franchises coming off two bad years with very questionable talent and even less balance. Maybe it will be the guy who has a passion for beer and brats.

On 2nd thought dont hire Skiles,I just remembered he was teammates with Larry K in Orlando.

For that reason alone take Skiles' name out of the running.

A very strong incentive to sign on the dotted line if I do say so myself. ;)

I'll hold out hope for JVG, but Rick Carlisle wouldn't be a bad grab.

Scott Skiles? Why would the bucks want a coach who.....

has a career coaching record 30 games over .500.

has coached two teams and took both of them to the playoffs.

has never finished below .500 when he is the coach for a full season.
