People they are basketball players. And at the end of the day, both AI and Carmelo want the same things. They want to get past this, focus on the playoffs and make the media go away as quickly as possible. Its pointless to argue what would happen if AI did something, would Melo be there? Even if they aren't best friends, they both have a common goal. Quit reaching for a story!

And if anyone knows what its like to be scrutinized by the media (right or wrong), its Iverson. So instead of blasting or making up hypotheticals to analyze Anthony's loyalty if the situation was reversed, just give Iverson credit for coming to support his teammate. Everyone knows what Carmelo did was idiotic, stupid and could have been deadly. I don't think any rational person condones what he has done. But lets not make the man out to be most selfish, irresponsible person on the planet. He made a mistake, a huge mistake, and its one he will have to pay for whether its financially, legally or emotionally.

Move on to the playoffs...

Great point. Half the crap he got busted for before the dog fighting were "petty" crimes. He couldn't keep his nose clean and sure enough it finally caught up with him.

they had practice after this statement. but a.i. was the only one that came along with melo joining the practice later.

Iverson is a team leader/captain. He represents the team. It would be kind of silly for the entire team to be there.

Well a lot of the Denver lineup has a history of petty crimes, or hanging out with sketchy people look at iverson for example:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_iverson

Even K mart with the Darrent Williams shooting:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyon_Martin

JR Smith with his driving issues: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J.R._Smith

Anyways, if Karl is somehow able to manage this crazy group of people, he definitely deserves coach of the year.

Technically, he was near 3 times the legal limit, as .05 or above is presumed DWAI. However you look at it, it's more than just a drink or two too many. Poor judgment. Hopefully he can learn from it.

For an average sized man, one 12 oz beer will make you blow between .02 and .03.

I'm guessing for someone Melo's size, he had at least the equivalent of 7 or 8 beers.

This calculator (http://www.ou.edu/oupd/bac.htm) says if he had 8 beers in the past 2 hours at 240 pounds, he'd be at .10 BAC. It looks like closer to 12 beers.

Well,
I don t want to defend the guy here, but i am sure it happen to a lot of people even in that forum, only difference you are not on the spotlight.
More and more stories for useless journalist, journalist should thank people like melo, at least he keep them alive to write their BS.

Kobe story got in the garbage quit fast, maybe he has a better lawyer and the Lakers org took better care of superstar????i don t know.

One thing is sure....Melo is 23-24 and he has used is jokers already, no more fault will be accepted otherwise media, sponsors will get him.

Most of it, he might get paid 5M to promote and anti alcohol drive keychain....lol

I'm not sure what this sentence means, but I hope you're not suggesting that the Kobe rape case got less media attention than Melo's DUI. You're not saying that, right?

no, i am not saying, obviously not since it came to europe even...lol
saying that (he went quick to garbage) a mean after all the media, when it was finish it went down quit fast, people did not talk to much about it 4-5-6months after, Kobe work good on his image and he has a lot of help, problem with a guy like melo, he does one here, one 3 months after....etc
I am afraid for the nugs that at the next mistake the guy will loose a lot and the nugs too.

AI stop doing **** off the court
Artest also
on the last year and a half we heard:
Melo punch-melo Dui... a mean the kid has only 24, a bright future, what the hell is he doing...

What I found quite disturbing is that LaLa refused to pick Melo up when the police called to his house.

I think he has depression maybe a fight with LaLa or unhappiness in their marriage?

ask your mom if she'd go get your dad at 3 in the morning if the cops called and he was in the drunk tank.

$5 says she'd say no.
if she says yes...she's probably lying.
