I love how people make that claim. Many of Rondo's best games were when Garnett went down with injury. Having 3 all stars has its benefits, but since the offense doesn't run through him nearly as often as many other point guards, his assist total could be much higher on other teams. Chris Paul certainly wouldn't be putting up the same numbers on Boston. If you've been following the Celtics a lot this season, you'd realize how stagnant the offense has been at times when Rondo hasn't been controlling the offense. There's so much more to a player than just a few statistics. There are players more deserving, but Rondo does deserve a few votes.

Hollinger and Ford are probably the two biggest idiots of the group. Their MIP picks are just an addition to their already wonderful resume

Hedo deserves it, sure. But no Monta Ellis love. Really?

I'm not at all a Warriors fan, and even I'm a little upset.

Wow... this is amazing.... why don't you post in another thread or better yet on the Utah board given that your post makes no sense on this thread.

My vote goes to Mike Dunleavy, Jr, I suspect that this will be a two horse race with an extreme outside chance that it might just become a one horse race!

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

ROY- Kevin Durant
MIP- Hedo Turkoglu
Sixth Man- Manu Ginobili
Coach of the Year- Byron Scott
DPOY- Kevin Garnett
MVP- Kobe Bryant

Most people would agree with those results, my only objection would be Ginobili, because of his major role in the Spurs' game, i just can't view him as a typical sixth man. I'd rather see the category's candidates be limited to players that play 25 mins or less.

Deron Williams deserved the MIP last year. But there are some guys who think that he deserves it this year.

Hedo should get MIP.

Sad Coach Sloan. 20 years, 19 winning seasons, and still no trophy, championship or COY.
