Two things:

They've moved the Hornets/Mavs game to ESPN starting at 5pm, so the game should just about be done by the time the Nuggets play.

And,

this is from a Hornets fan:

"for the same reason, i hope we play our starters more than byron indicated in his interview tonight. i'd much rather face the nuggets than the mavs.."

Seems like the starters will rest, and the Nuggets will be facing the Lakers.

oh. didn't know they moved the time. thanks for the heads up.

.

stranger things have happened. maybe jannero pargo goes off, or scott re-thinks who he wants in the first round, or the hornets build a comfortable lead by playing their starters in the first half.

i don't want the lakers. i need to maintain hope somehow.

I think a bigger question is what will Avery Johnson do? Im sure the Mavs would rather face the Hornets first round instead of the Lakers so will Avery play his starters alot of minutes to get a victory or will he rest his starters, most notably Dirk and his sore ankle, to rest up for the playoffs.

Either way, we need the Hornets to pull off a victory.

Avery definitely plays all his starters. The game is pretty big for them. A win and they play the team they just beat, a loss and they have to face the Lakers.

I disagree with playing the Lakers over the Hornets, but if there's any positive to take out of it, Bynum shouldn't be back for the first round.

I would prefer the Hornets, plus I think the Suns have the tools to beat the Spurs, and I think the Suns is a good match up for us, especially if Nene can play.

I am still happy to avoid the Spurs in first round, but Lakers without Bynum would not be a mountain for us.

can you imagine a Healthy Nene vs. Gasol? how sweet would that be..
Bynum or not, were not beating the Lakers in Best of 7 as much as i want us to.
