The Sonics have been built to suck, that's why their attendance has been low. How motivated would the population be to vote a new stadium when the team is tanking it? It's a lose/lose situation. Bennett has been in charge for two years, enough time to really make this whole thing happen.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Percentage to capacity average in last six years:
02-03: 91.0% (t-13th)
03-04: 92.0% (11th)
04-05: 96.9% (8th)
05-06: 95.3% (9th)
06-07: 93.9% (15th)
07-08: 78.2% (25th)
Considering between 02-03 and 06-07 that they missed the playoffs four out five years yet still ranked in the top half of the league is pretty good, the only major drop off was this year, because this team was built to have low attendance.
