Why wouldn't

Watson/Ridnour
Durant/Wilkins
Green/Gelabele
Beasley/Collison
Wilcox/Petro

work?

Rose is a much better option for them. They already have their 2 future wing players in Durant and Green. Adding a dynamic point guard to that mix would make much more sense then essentially another wing player in Beasley.

Durant needs to play small forward. Idiot sonics.

Yeah for real. I never understood why they drafted two SFs in the top 5. Were they trying to do their best Hawks impersonation?

Well Green can play power forward, so I can understand that choice. Wilcox isn't the ideal center for them though. They need a big, defensive minded center, who can give them at least 10 rebounds a game and a couple of blocks. And if they could get a Raja Bell type of shooting guard, I think they have a great up and coming team:

Rose
Raja Bell Type
Durant
Green
Defensive minded center (Dalembert, Haywood, etc...)

That team will be able to run with the best of them, and has a good mix of offensive fire power and defensive minded players. And Green is an incredible player to have as a third option.

But all in all, if Miami gets Rose, I would pick Miami's future core of just Wade and Rose over either of these teams. That has the potential to become the best backcourt in the history of the game.

Aldridge gives Portland the edge. Oklahoma is going to have to decide what it is going to do with Green if they end up with Beasley. Durant is not a two guard.

Green may be able to play the 4 but that is not his true position. Playing him there 82 games is begging for a injury.

Ehh if he grows one more inch, he's 6'10, and how many 6'10 small fowards are there?

I agree with the injury standpoint. Look at Mcdyess. 6'9 power forward but couldn't handle the bigger guys on defense. But if Green can bulk up and grows just one more inch, I think he's perfect for that system at power forward

And on another note, if guys like David Lee, Al Harrington, Boozer, Jason Maxiell, can successfully play power forward at a height below 6'10, I don't see why Green can't.

They have much bigger frames than Green, and even they are considered undersized PFs.

Well I never said Green wouldn't be considered undersized, but unless they trade him, they're best bet is for him to bulk up and play power forward.
