If the Warriors were willing to accept something like Luke, Vlad, Farmar, Mihm then i might do it.
Even then, im not sure the Lakers are better with this. They would lose a lot of depth.
No way would i trade Lamar for a PG. We're winning the title this season. No reason to make a drastic change like that. Also we don't even know if Bynum's injury will hurt his career. A dislocated knee can always be a problem for you and pop out of place again.
Watching the Warriors, sometimes i dont even see Baron's impact consistently. Especially when that jumper is off
can the lakers land baron davis?

If we both built teams, many of you guys would have a team full of 42% volume shooters, while i would have a efficient where majority of my players shoot 50% or at least close to it. I like Baron Davis. Just not for this team. The Lakers don't need guys who jack up 25 footers and Baron does that a lot.
Lakers win the title and trade there best PF who is 6-10 averaging 15 and 12 over the last 35 games and shoots 55% during that stretch for a 6-3 PG who shoots 42% and takes a lot of bad shots.
It would look great on some nights,but when Baron's jumper is off, he keeps on chucking. If Lamar's jumper is off,he can still get buckets playing close to the basket and get you 12 to 17 boards on a given night.
No reason to make a big trade if you win the title. Especially with Bynum being a question mark.

I am on the fence in a Baron for Lamar swap but keep in mind that once Bynum comes back at full strength he is our starting center. This means Pau Gasol slides to the PF so Odom will no longer be our PF. Sure, we will have a great rebounding tandem but our PG is clearly the weakest spot on the team.
This beg the question. Is a team consisting of Fisher, Kobe, Bynum, Gasol and Odom with J Far off the bench be better than Baron, Kobe, Bynum, Gasol and Radman with Fisher off the bench?
The 1st lineup we know we will dominate the paint and the boards. The 2nd lineup will be more explosive from all cylinders. I think it will benefit Radman as teams cannot play Baron, Kobe, Pau and Bynum honestly. Radman will benefit a lot from the penetration while Pau and Bynum will still dominate the inside. You can also tweak the lineup and make it Baron, Fisher, Bynum, Pau and Kobe as the starters. I guess we really have to see how we do with Odom in this year playoffs.

How do we even know Bynum will come back 100%? A dislocated knee cap is a serious injury and it could pop out of place again.
Im also not so sure Gasol and Bynum is a better frontline then Gasol and Lamar because of versatility and the ability to grab the rebound and go.
Gasol and Bynum would be a slower frontline and would have to play more traditional. Get the rebound and wait for the PG to receive the pass. Lamar can rebound and bring it up the floor immedietely.
