Its pointless and trivial.

I tried putting him on my ignore list but then I couldn't follow the thread.

Kobe for MVP

Great race right until the end but Kobe gets my vote.

P.S - Just reading that yaya's guys posts makes you smarter

P.S.S - What ever happened to Jules?

P.S.S.S - I laugh at the notion that Robert Glory would not use NO as the #1 seed in CP's favour if things had turned out that way. I may be wrong but i think he was using it before when they were in the first spot to add to CP's case.

I still don't see how the conference tiebreaker between NO and LAL is arbitrary.

No one does, don't worry :).

The media is widely ignoring Paul's recent stinkers and Kobe's recent triumphs too, if you haven't noticed. I'm pretty sure had things turned otherwise after this weekend, we'd have every major sports pundit crowning CP as the MVP already. But whatever, I take the bad with the good.

The good being to see Kobe lift that trophy in a couple of weeks :D.

I agree with Bill Simmons, both Paul and Garnett deserve it over Kobe. Put Kobe on the Hornets and it's just like the Lakers squad that struggled to even make the playoffs. Chris Paul deserves the MVP way more than Kobe.

That's patently absurd.

Tell me who you would rather have around you...

Lamar Odom or David West?

Kwame Brown or Tyson Chandler?

Luke Walton or Peja Stojakovic?

Think before you post.

Please don't be a fool and try to compare the Hornets talent to the Lakers. A reason Paul deserves MVP is b/c he makes average players look like All Stars. Kobe is the best all around player but no way does he deserve MVP over Paul, put him on the Hornets and they struggle for 8 seed like Lakers team of the past. I know this site is all Kobe homers but read the article Simmons wrote and keep getting mad.

I agree. Chris Paul has the tough job of making Peja look like an All-Star.

The comparison was between the 45 win Lakers and the 56 win Hornets. Bynum was on the team but was a raw rook.

Don't quite understand this. I have no problem with someone saying CP3 deserves the MVP, but how is it way more when Kobe has led his team to the top of the toughest conference race in history.

No. Do you have a problem with that?

Simmons was born and raised in Boston - that definitely makes for a credibly unbiased view of Kobe and the Lakers right?

Also wanted to point out something from Bill's article:

Is Kobe the best all-around player in the league? Yes. But that was the case last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. (Remember, this award goes to the most valuable player, not the best individual player. That's the rule.) Should we reward him this season because he's playing for the No. 1 team in the West?

Classic case of cause-effect.. Problem with Simmon's statement there is despite proclaiming Kobe the best player in basketball, he doesn't factor that into his equation into why the Lakers have the best record in the West.

Chandler is one of the best rebounders in the game. That has nothing to do with CP.

And Peja has routinely averaged over 20ppg and been the best shooter in the league... Yes, that includes the years before he played with CP.

This is West's 3rd season with averages around 18-8...

sweet, we're back to trolling

Dwade is obviously the MVP. Without his tank job, the Heat wouldn't be looking for a #1 lotto pick!
