First of all, they were gummi bears, and he didn't puke as far as the information released. Second, he said "more" mature, not an adult. There's a difference between still snacking on candy (something that obviously puts Rose in his comfort zone right now), and jumping up and down in practice yelling "Look coach! I'm naked!" during a shirts vs. skins scrimmage or totally losing focus on defense during a tournament game.

I like Beasley, his personality and his game, and think he should be the no. 1 pick if we get it. I also think he should mature once he's in the NBA and gain more focus on both ends of the court. However, I do believe at this point that Rose is more ready to take on the challenges he'll face in the NBA. Its impossible to tell who will be the better player in the future or who will fit this team best ultimately, so I'll have faith in whatever the organization chooses if we get lucky enough to choose between the two. By that point they would know more about these guys than any of us possibly could.

He sounds like a normal 19 year old to me. I used to do silly stuff all the time at that age and even later, but it never meant I wasn't serious about other things. It's just a release and it's okay.

There's nothing in there stating he's hung out with gang bangers or was into anything illegal. He'll be fine.

Just another way the media tries to brainwash the populace by blowing things out of proportion.

From the Dan Patrick radio show today he mentioned about Beasley being somewhat of a prankster, trust me he could be doing a lot worse

Tagging your name on the principal's car seems beyond normal teenage behavior but maybe i'm old school. But he had a year at KState without any incidents so hopefully he's matured.

If Miami will pick 1st, it should be Beasley
if at #2, it should be Rose
if at #3, it should be B. Lopez

No Lopez please. If Miami picks after two, and doesn't trade, it should be Bayless or Mayo depending on who impresses more in workouts.

I agree. I like Lopez but not with a top 4 pick. Bayless fills a need but Mayo might be the best prospect between them although he plays Wade's spot.

If Beasley is your #1 pick, then Marion will have to be moved.

If Rose, then I feel that you guys may need a complementary shooter.

Why? Beasley is very capable of playing the 4. He's very versitile, and he is a big man. The one who will likely be moved, is Udonis Haslem, not Marion.

Love Haslem, but he's been in talks of all major trade rumors for the past 2 seasons, and if we can get a good player in return for him, then you do it.

I'm all for trading Haslem and another player for a nice solid big man to play at the 5. I just wish a trade for Camby would be possible, though don't know if we have the pieces for it, but after all these years, I would think Denver would want a change of scenery since all that talent has yet to to get together and go on a serious run in the playoffs.

Wishful thinking, but yeah.

Like I've been saying, there is no need in the Miami Heat for Beasley. We have two capable rebounders at PF in Haslem and Marion. Beasley can't play Center, so is a dead issue the big guy argument. Know you might say he is talented offensive player, than Haslem. No doubt, but so is a lot players in the NBA that you could get of a trade of free agency. We can even put Marion at PF he had close to 20 points many years playing PF, then trade Haslem. For the coveted Center.

Or we keep Haslem. And go hard after a Center in the market.

Our two issues is a Center, not PF, slash SF..

If we don't get Rose for whatever reason, I want to trade the pick.

Package some blockbuster trade getting rid of Blount and us obtaining a legitimate Center and a pointguard at the same time.

Wow Marion at pf avg ONLY 2.3 more points and 2.2 reb more than UD. Yes we have no need for Beasley with Marion avg 14.3pt and 11.2 reb + a 16 mil contract and no post game

Look at Marion stats through his career.

He has twice over 21 points per game, that is 2 years he put over 21 points. He has score at over 19 points per game for 3 years.

And all those years he had those scoring stats, he played without Nash.

Haslem's highest total is 12 points per year.

So that is one of the dumbest arguements, is like comparing this year that D Wade scored 24 points per game. And not taking into consideration his previous years. And comparing him to Kevin Martin that had 23 points per game this year, just because of this year.

Lets look at Career average for Haslem vs Marion.

Marion is 18.3 points per game.
Haslem is is 9.9 per game

Is that 2 point difference? Huh?

I want Rose even with first pick. And if Wade is for him that will count for a lot in Riles decision.

when is the lottery?

also, Im for Rose. I love the kid.. He amazed he in the tournament

Beasley seems like Melo. I dont know if that is best next to Wade. Rose seems like he could be a great pg that could also score when needed. Put a 3 pt shooter near Wade/Rose, and watch out, its gonna be fun

If Miami has the 1st pick, it should be Beasley. Miami needs a post presence.

I was also really high on Rose during the tournament and I thought that there is no way that we should miss out on this kid. But the more i think of the balance of our roster the more I like Beasley as our #1 pick. A offensive post presence opens up lanes, demands doubleteams the whole game, and doesn't make us that much of a shooting team. Just imagine when teams clog the lane with Rose, Wade and Haslem on the floor, how will we be able to score some points? I know that Wade and Rose are really excellent in breaking down defenses but but who should convert when they are not finishing at the rim themselfes? Wade from three, or Rose or Marion?

O know that we are starving for a 1 and a 5 but I'm more interessted in having a balanced offense, then the other positions wont be that much of a weakness. In addition to that, we could probably trade haslems reasonable contract for a solid point or center. Who knows, maybe we could also unload Banks or Blounts contracts with a trade like that.

To me it is a can't lose thing with a top two pick, but considering our team and not position needs i would definitley take Beasley with the number 1 pick.

LINK
Wade said he asked to represent the Heat at the May 20 draft lottery in the New York area but isn't sure he will get his wish. The Heat has the best chance to win the No. 1 overall selection in the weighted lottery and by rule will pick no later than fourth....

Haslem said he's not concerned with the Heat potentially drafting Kansas State's Michael Beasley, who projects to play Haslem's power forward position. "It's the same situation as when [ Antoine Walker] came in," he said. "We worked it out."
Its possible Wade will get his wish because Miami send Caron in 2003 draft lottery.

I like what Haslem said, that if Miami draft Beasley, he mights see the young player playing as a sub at both SF and PF as what Toine did.

Thats not exactly what he said. I can't really see Beasley not starting off the bat.
