This is just one guys opinion...But for me at least, it made me second guess having Maggette #1 on my offseason wish list

And over the course of the Hornets

I have always been a fan of Maggette's athleticism and skill set, but there have always been persistent rumors about his apparent lack of Bball IQ.

I don't see him enough to have a fair opinion though.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Yep same here...I havent really seen much of him so im going basically purely off stats

Thats why reading something like that makes me doubt his abilities

Anybody happen to live in LA or know anything about Maggette as far as his BBall IQ and Ball Hogging tendencies???

I'd take him, but I think Childress would be a better fit, if he becomes available.

Childress/Evans (Hope we re-sign him) combo at the 2 = Hustle. We don't need scoring from the 2, just a guy who can hustle and hit the open shot.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

That combo would be the ultimate hustle and dirty work rotation right there

Btw Matty. That comment wasn't directed at you. Seems like just one person showing their opinion. It's really hard to say how good or bad he is when he is on a losing team anyway with the playoff picture already decided.

Plus I think he WANTS out.

I've seen plenty of Maggette on League Pass. I wouldn't necessarily call him a ballhog, but he's certainly a guy who looks to score first, score second, and draw contact 3rd.

He's a good player, but with the way our team is constructed, I think a hustling utility player who can shoot is the perfect fit at the 2.

I do too. He would stay with the Clips, but they will have to pay more than anyone else to keep him. I'm still holding out hope that he will be there for us at the mle, but to get him it will probably have to be a sign and trade.

As to the OP, he's not a ball hog, but he drives a lot, which is a good thing. Gets to the line often because of it too. He would really help Jameer breaking defenses down. Has a fairly decent shot, and good defense too. Think of Evans but only better. He would be a perfect fit for us. Given that this is an option year for him, he's just trying to stay aggressive to showcase his skills. Its a bit selfish, but its understandable.

+ 1

At first, i was intrigued by him but he might take away shots from hedo. But if Turk becomes the de facto point guard he might dictate who gets what shot.....maybe

I honestly would like the three way of

Magette to Atlanta

Bogans/Redick/Zaza Pachulia to the clips

Josh Childress to the magic ... or something close to it

Yeah I'd pass on Maggette for Josh Childress as well to fit our system better.

Plus Childress is 6'8, which would be nice.
