Jason Terry has been huge for them tonight. Dirk is playing like he wants to just go home.

Both Terry and Drik are unconscious out there, but for opposite reasons.

Terry and Howard with the clutch jumper and Dirk with the dagger.

It is safe to now officially bring on the Denver Nuggets as the Mavs have avoided us.

Hornets vs Mavs should be an entertaining 1st round, Mavs got quite a bit of guys who can score in Terry, Howard, Stackhouse and obviously Dirk.

I hope the saying Be Careful what you wish for will not apply for us since majority of us were hoping for Denver. Lets not allow history to repeat itself by becoming the second 1st seed team to lose to an 8th seed in a best of 7.

i think the mavs will beat the hornets in the playoffs, probably in 6.

That will be a good series I think it can go either way. The Hornets had that #1 seed but choked it away by losing 4 of 5 to end the season.

Ok now that I know who our opponent I officially do not care about the other 7 teams for the duration of our 1st round. I am all focused on Denver so lets not take them lightly. They do have AI and Carmelo who can light it up at anytime. Camby and JR Smith are also good ballers. We need to be careful.

I will be shocked if the top four seeds in the West all make it out of the first round. Phoenix is very likely to win the 1st round, Rockets and Mavs obviously have a good shot as well. I don't care which team pulls off the upset as long as it isn't Denver.

From Espn & CBS Sports
Apr 16,2008
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamecente ... 416_NO@DAL
Dallas beats NO Horners: 111-98

So LA Lakers plays Denver.

DALLAS-DENVER -- Seeds 7 to 8.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/stor ... 80416story
If Dallas wins or Denver loses:
7-Dallas
8-Denver

If Denver wins AND Dallas loses:
7-Denver
8-Dallas

[There are the other combinations for the Western conference teams in the ESPN article.]

not being a heavy underdog to the suns is a nice breathe of fresh air.

the jazz already lost this game, down 8 in a handful of minutes. with the rockets killing the clips it looks like the playoff picture is exactly what the lakers wanted. number one seed, matchup with denver, mavs/hornets/suns/spurs in the opposite bracket...hope they capitalize.

Yeah if everything holds up here is the 1st round Bracket

Lakers vs Nuggets - Let not allow Denver to be Golden State of last year. Enough said.

Hornets vs Mavs - This will be entertaining, who knows which team will prevail?

Spurs vs Suns - This is going to be good. One of these teams will be do away with. Very nice.

Jazz vs Rockets - The Jazz can be a dangerous 2nd round opponent since they are virtually unbeatable at home. But TMac has that chip on his shoulder and this is his shot at revenge from last year. No telling who wins this series and Houston has the HOA despite being the 5th seed.
