I challenge serpo or netsforce to find some game logs of other players in their first season who have put up these types of numbers (particularly averaging 11assists in the first month), having stepped on the court for their first few games.

Both of you keep up the same, boring arguments, while others have challenged you to find some comparisons of players who have started out this way, and then since fallen off and not made it...Lets see some examples then.

this sessions kid just won me two fantasy leagues

picked him up just for today, and damn did it pay off. 14 assists and 3 steals put me over the top

my new favorite non heat player.

I posted a Mardy Collins comparison a few pages back... Maybe over the weekend I'll take the time to dig up a few more.

I'm not denying Sessions' has put up great stats, but I'm not willing to call him the next great point guard based on a 10 game or so stretch against weak competition at the end of the regular season (against teams with nothing to play for)...

3-4 doesn't equate meaningful.

No one is. As a Bucks fan, I'd say the outlook's inconclusive, but optimistic. People have issues with you definitively saying he won't amount to anything. You don't know, and neither do we.

lol@ Europa ripping Mo where ever he goes. He walks on water on the Bucks board? 80% of the board want him gone.

Sessions at the very least will be a solid back up PG. I would say Steve Blake is his floor and a better defending Calderon is is ceiling.

Mardy Collins also played in 52 nba games that year. Maybe not great min throughout the season, but he practiced with the team for the majority of the year, rather than Sessions who only had 17 games this season and spent the majority of the year in the D league.

Moreover, Collins' high assist numbers during that span were 11, followed by highs of 8, 7. Not really the same as 6 double digit assist games in your first 17 nba games.

For the 3 consecutive years Atlanta misssed the right point guard with thier 1st round picks. They should have drafted Ramon Sessions over Acie Law last year.

I just speak the truth about Mo. Not my fault if the Mo Nation can't handle the truth. :D

Back on topic, there's no way of knowing at the present time just how good Sessions is going to be. But the one thing he's clearly shown is that he is a legit NBA player. At worst, the Bucks have found a quality backup PG. At best, maybe they've found someone who can grow into the starting position. Either way, the team appears to have made good on their second-round investment. Former GM Larry Harris' work in the second round of drafts was pretty poor but it appears he found a real keeper with his last second-round pick for the Bucks. Great work there by Harris.
