Iron Man...aka...Allen Iverson!!!

Post#1 » by 24K_Gold » Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:03 pm

just sending out a thread to commend allen iverson for leading the league in minutes while playing all 82 games!

a lot of people don't realize what kind of feat that is but as a life long athlete myself I know how hard it is to get up and down a court or field or whatever your sport is.

being 32 and that small of stature but still being able to controll a game playing 42mins night or a lot of times the whole game is just freakish.every year is supposed to be the year he breaks/slows down but they always seem to forget to tell him that!

He does play a lot of minutes and anytime a guy can go all 82 games it is a nice accomplishment. I think equally impressive is Camby playing in 79 games the most he has ever played in a season, and Kmart playing in 71 after all of the surgeries that he is comming back from. Plus, some props to the departed once again Miller played in all 82 games. The guy has only missed 5 games in 9 years.

pretty incredible, especially since he's had a fractured pinky since a month ago. i remember cambys fractured pinky keeping him out for a month or so before we played the clips in the playoffs, hes been great this year tho so you gotta give him that.

It's nice to see this.
I remember half way through the season after a few games everybody was regretting the Iverson trade (I think there even was a thread about it)^^...
And now he's a hero :D

But I have to admit I like his hero image^^

I've been watching him for years and i cannot count how many times he's driven the lane and crashed in to some 7 footer without me thinking he wasnt going to get back up. I truly admire the man. This is 32 yr old 6 ft nothing guy who has zero regard for his body. I hope he gets a ring before his HOF career is over.

The guy is made of rubber . the way he hits the floor and just gets up every time is amazing. I hope he torches the lakers in this series bad, real bad.
