It's good to see these Jazz fans trolling our boards when the playoffs haven't even started. And it's funny how they were bitching about T-smac (who wasn't even a Rockets fan) last season, but now those guys are hypocritically returning the favor.

Meanwhile, we have no one on their board. That just shows our fan base has more maturity.

The technical count doesn't get carried over in to the playoffs but a suspension definitely would

Just a heads up, I'm gonna lock this up as soon as AJ puts up the real game thread. This thread will no longer have any purpose unless for some reason Okur does indeed suffer a suspension which I doubt but you never know.

I don't know why, but I personally think it was hilarious. He just smacked him straight up and then he knew that he was screwed.

Go Rockets... but in 6.

They'd match our thoroughly complete team excellently at that point!

Oh, what's that you say? We're missing Yao and Rafer and are injured all down the line? Oh. Um. Huhn.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

It's not hating, I was just telling him this wasn't our game-thread. About Okur possibly getting suspended was definitely a valid thread.

Not hating at all. :)

No problem bro..just clarifying..but back to the topic.. We all have our opinions and i think the flagrant foul was malicious enought to deserve suspension..but the media hasnt shown enough footage so stern might just let it go.

Congrats Houston on earning what amounts to the 4 seed. You guys have had a great season and that streak was a wonder to behold. I never saw the team do that without Yao like they did, but Props to your guys. This has all the makings of another epic series for the two teams. I would be lying if I said I thought the Rox would win, but it's been shown that this Rox team can pull it together and play good ball.

How do you guys think the absence of Rafer will impact the series? I think with a healthy Deron the Jazz would dominate. With Deron noticeably hampered, I think the more Rafer misses the better for the jazz.

As for the Okur clubbing... I am on both sides here. I mean it did appear to be a frustration foul that didn't appear to have the intended target it landed on. I think, and a spurs fan friend of mine concurred, that Oberto flopped and sold it pretty hard. There was no way that should have floored him the way it did. I doubt there will be a suspension and if there were I think it would be unwarranted. The Spurs owned the Jazz and the Jazz were helpless it appeared.

Good luck on this series. I like the banter even when it stings a little bit as long as it doesn't get childish and uncalled for.... so bring it on!

If Fab flopped then why was he being examined on the bench by the trainer for like 2 minutes after it happened?

Word is official now there is no suspension. They left it a flagrant 1.

The slap would have been completely innocuous except it was across Oberto's open eye. Even if there is no damage to the eye, it hurts badly, you can't really see, and the eye waters like mad (I've had that done to me before in a game). I'm sure all the checking was to make sure there wasn't any damage like a scratch on the eye or something. Oberto did return a bit later in the game so it wasn't too bad.

PS: Looking forward to another great series.
