Confidence has been built from this victory and from this 3riple 2ouble. The Mavs are hot going into the playoffs despite the unfortunate losses to Portland and OKC on the road in B2B games. The Mavs did defeat at the end of the season Utah, Phoenix, and now New Orleans. We're in a lot better shape than we ever thought we could be...
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Man, I am feelin' great! When is the last time any of us felt this good after Dirk just absolutely bit the big one? I'm tellin' ya. It gives me confidence...

Dirk traditionally has played below par against New Orleans. In his last 12 against them, he's averaged 21 pts and 7 rebounds. Over the same period he's averaged 24.5 and 9 against the league.

This troubles me. Sorry, but the team still lives and dies with Dirk, and this isn't a team he plays well against. If he doesn't step up his game against them, somebody else better or it'll be a short second season.

Daddy, don't worry. All the experts are saying that the Hornets will be the first top seed to fall this postseason. I am thinking it will be 6 vs 7 in the conference semis and one of those teams (Phoenix or Dallas) would end up in the Conf Finals. Don't discount Dirk. It's all in how they play him. Dirk in the playoffs is a lot differently played than Dirk in the regular season. A lot more posting up and a lot more in the paint/baseline shots. Dirk will go to the stripe a lot too and they will be in the penalty. That has got to be Avery's strategy. They have no bench and we shoot free throws well. Make our strengths work for us while making their weaknesses work against them. Genius!
