How many "real" new yorkers do you know? Also, many in their late 20's & 30's grew up when the Yankees stunk so they became Mets fans. New York City is a Yankee town. New York City (& some Mets fans themselves) only care about the Mets when they are winning.

First of all, Bill Simmons is hardly the one to paint all New England fans like, as enjoyable as his columns can be at times. Personally, I never believed in the "curse", nor did anyone else I personally know.

Second the only REAL Yankees fan I know is my grandfather, who was born and raised in the Bronx and went to **** of games when he was a kid. Even though he's lived in New England the majority of his life, he's always rooted for them. EVERY OTHER friend of mine from New York City, regardless of what borough they are from, roots for the Mets. The Yankees are like the Lakers...they only have "die-hard" fans when they're winning.

I calls them like I sees them!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

You call it like you see it thru your rose-colored glasses.

I am a Yankee fan and a Knick fan. Being a Knick fan completely eliminates all possibility that I am a bandwagon fan, because being a Knick fan is so painful.
