Who will it be: Carlisle or Skiles?
Seems like the choices are narrowed down. Who do you think ends up taking this job?

I'd be elated with Carlisle, but what is "even bigger" than him? To me the only guys bigger out there are guys like Popovich, Jackson, Riley, Sloan, guys on that kind of HOF level. I think Carlisle is on a level down from them, but I think we'd be hard pressed to find that many candidates better than him. But I think higher of Carlisle than most.

It will be Skiles...he has a history with the Bucks and that seems to be how we go with almost anybody we hire. Just once I want us to hire someone with no ties to Milwaukee!!!! Skiles may end up being a good coach and a perfect fit here but I just wish we changed the way we hire everybody with ties to the city.

I think that's a pretty loose tie though. We drafted him, but he played what, one year here? He's not from Wisconsin either.

He would be an awesome fit for the Bucks. Look how he turned around the Pistons and Pacers. I think he would rather come to Milwaukee than Chicago, with what appears to be a good GM who he has worked with and coached with. I think Hammond could sell him on his vision and Rick will be the Bucks next coach.

He stunk. He was fired. He is gone. He wont be back. The only thing that would be worse than us offering him a job would be if he accepted it.
We need to stop being a joke. Hiring Porter would be nothing short of a joke.
As far as this thread is concerned.
I think both are an upgrade over our last 3 coaches, but Carlisle is a much better choice imo over Skiles. My guess is that we end up with the consolation prize and get Skiles. I hope I am wrong and that Hammond can lure a top flight coach like Carlisle here.
