even without the green font, it's probably the most blatant sarcastic statement ever. I liked the "Dam your smart" part though, those are always mildly amusing.

That's a bad comparison.

If they played a Western Conference schedule, they wouldn't have the records they have.

i hate that argument. its something like 58 or 59 of the 82 schedules are the same. the lower portion of the West is much worse than the East. So Boston and Detroit would get more chances to get W's if they play the worst teams 3 or 4 times.

Plus, lets just be honest, the winner of the West is the Silver medal winner...no one is beating Boston this year.

You're gonna get bashed for saying that the bottom 4 in the east playoffs don't belong

Atlanta, Philly, Toronto and Washington are u kidding me?

toronto and washington are clear playoff teams

and atlanta and philly are on the rise

washington has 3 potential all-stars just to let u know

I didn't read through the whole thread because there really wasn't a point.

Should anyone in the East or West care about what's happening in the other conference playoffs?

Simple answer, no. Not until the conference finals. And maybe not everyone knows this, but no matter how bad one conference is considered as being relative to another, no matter what the finals are still one conference against the other.

Uhh... That's a two-way street. Put more good teams in the West, and everyone else's record suffers.

Not in the West...

I mean... 4 spots for the all-star, and you have to pick with AI, Kobe, CP3, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Tracy McGrady....

For forward where do you put Jamison and Butler? Duncan, Nowitzki, Boozer, Anthony, West?

I'm definitely looking forward to the Orlando - Toronto series. Seeing Raptors fans and Magic fans go at it on RealGM is downright orgasmic!

I think as a fan of good entertaining basketball there is much more interest in the west. My opinon,

Most entertaining teams in the NBA

Lakers
Suns
Golden State

These teams play up and down and you know they can put points on the board and show a lot of offensive talent. Defense wins championships but offense makes highlights.

Most entertaining players

Kobe
Shaq
Lebron
Nash
Amare
D.Howard
Ginobli
Arenas
Iverson
Paul

I mean KG is a great player but his game itself isn't exciting. Like Duncan's isn't so great to watch. Pistons are a great team but which of their guys puts on a show. On the Celtics I would say Rondo is the most exciting player to watch. I always hear Eastern conference fans brag about how their teams play more defense and are more physical. Well that's not always what people want to watch.

Bottom line 2 EC teams made the playoff's with losing records. Atlanta was 8 games under .500. Who wants to watch them get crushed in the 1st rd? Philly had that great run for a while but they lost 4 straight to end the season. Does anyone really think the Pistons aren't going to to "turn it on" and put the Sixers away in 5 or 6 games at the most?

Even EC fans have an interest in all the WC matchups because you can make a legitimate case that each series could go either way. Last year there were 3 sweeps in the 1st round of the EC playoff's I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more this year.......
I'm so tired of the typical......

I think Philly has gotten no credit at all, does anyone realize that since Febuary 5th they went 22-7? They have been one of the best teams in the second half this season after having a terrible first half, its unfortunate that they lost the last 4 and look like they may have gotten cold at the wrong time but they have still be great in the second half. The Wizards have also been good all season even though they have been banged up and last season they were one of the best teams in the league until Arenas and Butler got hurt, not they are back to full health minus Etan Thomas and deffinitly have a shot at going far into the playoffs, I know that Boston will be rooting for the Cavs to win that series because Washington has had there number all season long.
Go Knicks!

I like watching East Coast ball much better than West Coast. Everyones a cry-baby in the west. There are whole organizations of cry-babies out west. Just shut-up and play.

I'll watch every celts game.

Probuly a little of the TOR-ORL series.

Other then that I might be flipin channels and look on but unlikely to any other playoff games. West included. My team is in the East why would I care about the West? This isn't like every team is the 80s Lakers Celtics out there.. they're all just modern day contenders.

IMO, Eastern Conference PO is somewhat interesting because there is background to 2 of the matchups; Wiz vs. Cavs and Toronto vs. Orlando.

Imagine if the Western Conference had a Suns-Lakers, Spurs-Mavs, NO-Utah, Denver-Houston match up instead of what we have right now. Everybody would wet their pants just to watch, except maybe for Denver-Houston.
