Honestly I could see the vote going either way. However I wuld be a bit more surprised to see them vote no.

But even the owners know voting No is the right thing to do for the fans but how badly are they willing to hold their own city's hostage for when they need a new arena?

EDIT: Has anyone come across a single published article(not from OKC) that claims moving the Sonics to OKC is a good thing for the league to do?

Every media person I've seen, heard or read thinks it's a dumb idea.

I don't think owners know much about what the media writes about the NBA. I would not be surprised of the NBA owners were oblivious to what is going on with the fans... except for maybe Mark Cuban.

I am expecting some bad news today, but I won't be able to believe they actually voted on relocation knowing there are three lawsuits in the works.

How can they even vote on the move when:
1. The city is suing Clay Bennett.
2. Bennett is suing the city.
3. Howard Schultz is suing Clay.

It's one big mess. The owners really need to discuss these issues seriously before they vote. I hope they will, and I'd think they will.

Well looks like Clay has taken a shot at the city.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sonics/2004357448_sonics18m.html

Bennett's attorneys filed a federal-court motion accusing Nickels of a "Machiavellian plan" to force him to sell the Sonics back to Seattle investors led by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Well to be honest I had to grab a thesaurus to find out what "Machiavellian" means.

And low and behold Machiavellian means deceitful, tricky, scheming, wily, underhanded, conniving, and sneaky.

NOW THAT IS CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK CLAY!

I would be completely shocked if they did anything other than approve the move. The NBA does not want to be sued by Bennett. It would be ugly and they would lose. See Al Davis vs. NFL.

BTW, his wife's maiden name is Gaylord...and she used to be a dude.

(Ok, not totally sure on the latter.)

Even if the BOG says yes, it's not going to be over as their is that June court case.

And I read on ESPN.COM that Seattle has a good chance of winning.
