Trade Proposal LAC/NJN

Post#1 » by SportsFan215 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:19 pm

Sorry to intrude, but I am a Clippers fan, and I noticed you guys really want Elton Brand.

Brand/Mobley for RJ/Harris/Rights to DeAndre Jordan (#10)/Hassell

It doesn't make any sense to trade for Brand if you don't have any kind of a team to be successful with him. With trading away RJ , Harris and the Pick it won't be a good team.

They don't even have a starting caliber PG anymore .

RJ could be replaced in the deal. The Clippers really have no need for him with Al Thornton at the 3. I just really want Devin Harris and would like DeAndre Jordan.

Thats doesn't make any sense either . Why do you trade for Brand if you don't make your team any better ? If you trade Harris and Vince for Brand you will not be any better next year and thats the goal if you trade for Brand since he's not really a youngster anymore.

If RJ stays and Harris goes hmm maybe but i really don't think Harris will be traded anyway.

I would think about that.
Our own big 3.

Garnet>Brand
Pierce>RJ
VC>>Allen

or look at it this way

Garnett>Brand
Pierce=VC
Allen=RJ(they both have different skill sets they excel in)

Still needs help from other positions, but yet a truly competitive contending basis.

I know he is a huge risk, but throw in Livinston for Marcus or Sean Williams and it is a done deal.

Plus we would have Mobley as that big minute 6xth man we have been looking for when we had competitive lineups.

my trade actually works if you add in Mobley too....it'd be a bit of a stretch for LAC. We'd have to throw in a two 2nd rounders or something.

The Clippers wouldn't want Marcus. The whole reason for this deal is to get Devin Harris.

Btw there's no need for a KVH sign and trade he's on a 3 year contract with 2 of the years beeing team options . And i still doubt Harris will get traded even though it looks acceptable .

we're not dealing Harris. Marcus is on the block with RJ and Swift. The core package in any deal, such as this, has to involve at least 2 of them.
