Just because Hammond worked with Carlisle doesn't mean he's his first choice. We will never know for sure. Hammond is feeding any info to anyone. Whoever he signs will be his "first choice".

I really have no idea what everyone has against Scott Skiles...

That mess in Chicago had nothing to do with him.

It seems everyone gets on Skiles because they think the players eventually get feed up with his demanding style. But in that respect, he is very much like Jerry Sloan, one of the most successful coaches in NBA history. The only difference is Sloan has had (for the most part) the full support of his organization and they only bring players in that fit his system. I for one, wouldn't mind seeing the same sort of continuity with the Bucks. Carlisle himself isn't the easiest person to get along with and if he's not Hammond's first choice, I think there will probably be good reason for it...

All the candidates that are being looked at have the same persona - tough, demanding, defensive minded - and none of them come with no baggage..

There is no perfect available coach.

All the guys that are being looked at have worn out there welcome once and some more once.

That being said the same arguments that some make against one candidate others can say the same against another one. JH is a brilliant basketball mind and will make the proper choice no matter what. Look at it in the same way some others are. The guy knows winning and how to win. His decision whatever it may be is probably in our best interest as a franchise. Thats why he was hired and why Jeff was brought with.

We finally get someone in here that isnt afraid of making moves and going after his guys no matter what and people still find a way to complain.

I don't understand why people seem hesitant with Skiles.

Carlisle has had more success, but if last year you would have mentioned that the bucks could land Scott Skiles I would have been ecstatic.

Either way this Bucks front office is getting a real nice makeover.

If you look at all of

Brown/Skiles/JVG/Carlisle

All four kinda have had similar situation. All are strident defensive coaches that have had success and also tended to wear on the players after time with a team.

I don't get it either. It's very possible he may be a head coach who has a short shelf life wherever he goes - just like Karl has had in his career. But even if that's the case I still would be happy to get him. Why? Simple. There are three things Scott Skiles' teams tend to do:

1. They play hard.
2. They defend.
3. They win.

How often have we been able to say any of those things about the Bucks in the past two decades?

I'd prefer Carlisle over Skiles but if those are the two choices I view it as a win-win for the Bucks.
