Assuming you got Derrick Rose of course. Anyone on the roster could be part of the equation except say, Roy, Oden and Aldridge.

After the Gasol trade, I would not be surprised. We have really got to find someone who has a clue on winning. In this case it starts from the top down. Heisley would have no worries about the team not making money if we pulled a Boston this offseason. But anywho, just wishful thinking!

All of this with the speculation that the Grizz get the #1 or #2 pick and select Rose.
With PDX announcing that they are looking to trade for experienced vets, and the Grizz have no real use for vets at this time. I could see something along the lines of:
Aldridge, LaFrentz(exp), #33, #34
for
Miller, Conley, Collins(exp)
Memphis then buys out LaFrentz.
The last thing Portland needs are two second Rd picks and Memphis needs to fill roster spots! Miller gives them a great vet presence that the team doesn't have.
Memphis lineup:
Rose/Lowry
JCN/Critt
Gay/
Aldridge/Warrick/Cardinal
Darko/MGasol
Port lineup:
Conley/Blake
Roy/Sergio
Webster/Outlaw
Frye/McRoberts/Kevin Love(#13)
Oden/Przybilla
But I'm sure none of this will happen!

My personal opinion is this is the deal that will snag Conley for Portland if the Grizzlies get Derrick Rose:
Portland's 1st round draft pick
Martell Webster (pending medical clearance) or Travis Outlaw
Channing Frye
Raef Lafranz
for
Mike Conley
Brian Cardinal
Jason Collins
That is the deal that would get Mike Conley.
What'chu know about LAT? What'chu know about LAT? See I know all about that!

Just playing with the trade checker:
Memphis sends: Mike Conley + Mike Miller + pick #27
Memphis receives: rights of Rudy Fernandez + Channing Frye + TE + pick #13 + pick #14
GS sends: Brandan Wright + pick #14 + TE
GS receives: Mike Miller + Martell Webster
POR sends: rights of Rudy Fernandez + Channing Frye + pick#13
POR receives: Mike Conley + Brandan Wright + pick#27
Memphis sends: Mike Conley + Mike Miller + pick #27
Memphis receives: rights of Rudy Fernandez + Channing Frye + TE + pick #13 + pick #14
GS sends: Brandan Wright + pick #14 + TE

Aldridge is so much better than Conley it isn't funny. Plus, you never trade talented big for talented small.
A simple deal I think that might help both teams is this
Outlaw and #13
for Conley
That gives Memphis a line up of
Lowry or Crittenton
Gay
Miller
Outlaw
Darko
two lottery picks as well. Under Iavaroni that line up would be pretty good.
Is Outlaw and #13 equal value for Conley????? Maybe. It's probably closer than Griz fans think, and it's not too much to give up like Blazer fans probably would think.
Another thing that might have to happen is Portland taking on Cardinal and sending equal salary to Memphis

Sorry, but a handful of lesser prospects doesn't equal one high quality prospect.

Thx.
I think you are looking at it the wrong way. You are not only helping Portland, you are helping the Griz too.
Crittenton
Conley
Lowry
Rose?
JCN
Those are a lot of PG's. All good or potentially good, and will all want or demand playing time. A 6'9 forward that has a higher efficiency rating than any of the PG's on your roster right now and a lottey pick isn't bad value.
Travis Outlaw would become a freak in Iavaroni's system. Better than Marion in Phoenix

But two lesser prospects for a higher prospect is a bad deal no matter how you slice it.
