He's the worst. He's also got no power structure in place. If you want to talk trade with Milwaukee, who do you call? Herb? Ron? Larry?.

What about contracts? GAD tells us that Kohl personally met to present Charlie Bell his 3-year/$6 million dollar offer as a gift from the the team. Again with that move you've just neutered your GM and offended the player.

What about playing time? Yi....you've got at least 20mpg! That neuters Larry K.

What about offensive schemes: "Larry K....we aren't doing the triangle"

And on to the players......It is fine that Kohl meets with the players, but as we've learned, Kohl's message isn't "Look...your concerns are real, but Larry is our coach and I'm backing him 100% on what needs to be done"

Instead the message is "Don't worry, I'll make sure this doesn't happen again....I'll fire LK and Bobby, you and CV will be fine here"

No organization can function with that rot going on.......

If you think the meddling wasn't a serious impediment for Larry K. then Larry Harris was also the most incompetent GM in the league as well because the meddling shouldn't have affected him either. The bottom line is you had two weaker candidates in each position, who might have had a chance to succeed in a stronger environment.

Now Europa says..."Hey...hire someone stronger...they can work through the meddling". Well, as we've learned, up until now, no one stronger wants to come within 100 feet of this organization.....unless gobs of money are thrown out.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you have to say on any of that.. remember I was the only completely convinced that Kohl wouldn't make the move and hire a guy like Hammond (who I wanted) because he didn't want to give up the power.. However, think about it this way.. even when a worker knows that a supervisor isn't the deciding factor in whether they are allowed to advance, get a raise or use certain paid personal leave.. and they know that the "management team/human resources" are responsible 90% of the time they still take out their frustation on the closest person to them.. their supervisor and in this case that closest person to them would be the coach. So the players knew the problems came from the cronies and Kohls management styles (and everyone on the team manipulating to get their way) but they also looked at their coach and blamed him for problems within the organization even though it wasn't entirely his fault. It's not right but it happens.

So? At least someone who appears competent (certainly his resume and track record strongly suggests he is) now has the job. If it took Kohl this long to realize a change was in order, be thankful he appears to have at least made it. That won't reverse the misery of most of the past two decades but hopefully it results in a much brighter future.

Kevin O'Neil will be Carlisle's top assistant wherever he ends up, is my guess.

That makes some sense, as those two have had two stints together. But sometimes one looks back and wonders why things didn't work out in the long run and decide to break some links. I think that this will happen with Carylse. He and Stotts are close and I think he recognizes that Terry gets well the timing and spacing of a modern NBA offense. We shall see (I must admit to a prejudice,as I would love for Terry S. to work as close as Chicago).

Yeah. Biggest thing about Redd is how much he tries to go out of the way to say positive things, but then his actions never reflect it. Like, "all I care about is winning", but then when he's on the court he doesn't give ANY effort defensively, especially getting back in transition and he consistently takes on double/triple teams by himself during games.

Actions speak louder than words. Sadly, Redd has been mostly words and no action.

You hit it on the head and its why I call Redd a phoney(sp). He is the classic guy who says one thing and then pretty much does the opposite.

He is also the classic guy when it comes to sports who when the season is over will say ''we did things wrong,we needed to correct that'' kinda like he's doing here.

But if you knew what was wrong Redd why didnt you at least try do something about it or correct things.

Why wait till the season is over to ''talk about it''.

Redd is a chump, the last few days I actually had a bit change of heart and thought mzybe with some better teammates and a new/better coach Redd might go back to old Redd and help this team.

But after these comments ship his ass out of here.

If Carlise is the next coach, guys like Redd are going have to play defense or they will be gone.

This entire season I felt like Redd was uncomfortable so much that he sabotaged his coach. Don't get me wrong, Krystkowiak was terrible coach. But Redd didn't help. Stotts was also terrible coach but Redd singlehandly won few games for him.

I think new coach will eather kiss Redd's ass (like Stotts did) or will get this year Redd (like Larry did) and will be doomed. That's if Redd is still here next year.

Sig, do you always speak out on subjects you don't know a damn thing about???

For as maligned as they were in the media, I think we have the Paper Bag Brigade to thank for expediting Kohl's "getting it."

Honestly. I will go to the grave believing that made a huge difference.

BTW, I'm still sceptical that Kohl has gotten it. However, he got the message that we wanted no more internal hires on the cheap that could be easily controlled. Last time he gave up some power, it lasted all of what? 4 years?

The revolt DEFINITELY led to this. You could just hear the dominoes falling one by one.

RMBM criticized our disdain, saying it wouldn't make a difference, but lo and behold, we got what we wanted (so far).

Viva la revolucion.

back on topic, Redd's comments don't surprise me at all.

After seeing that the team performed better with Redd out, LK wanted to bring Redd back off the bench permanently. Obviously, Redd wasn't having that, and I have no doubts that he went straight to Kohl with that issue.

Redd is not a player worth keeping this year in any regard.

Actually, I don't fault Redd for admitting that his relationship with LK wasn't perfect, which most reporters probably already sensed. LK himself waited until the end of the year to say something about not being able to do things the way he wanted. We don't know if Redd was bringing up his issues with LK privately with the coach instead of causing a media storm. What I might be able to fault Redd for is for not getting along with his coach. I can't say what actually went on, but one reason players can have problems with a coach is if the coach wants them to do things they don't want to do. Granted a good coach can get most players to go along, even if they have egos, but if Redd was really as easygoing and easy to get along with as he claims, there probably wouldn't have been an issue.
