Wade pisses me off...

Post#1 » by OrlandoMagic » Sat Apr 19, 2008 5:53 am

Me venting a little bit....

I know as long as a player is healthy they should play ball. But it really pisses me off to see Wade be hurt alot and miss so many games this year. To all of a sudden say hey im good to go for the Olympics.

And this goes for players who miss more than half the season and than want to be in the all star game as well. I really wish something would be done about these two problems. Though nothing will be done, I wish they would atleast consider something.

To me it just comes across as players rather play in only the big big events and could care less about regular season.

Also on a side note, I could really care less about the age limit being raised. I think NBA should propose a rule that you must be in the College level atleast 2 yrs. Education should come before fame IMO. Its sad to see how many DUMB players are in the NBA.

Other than him pissing you off, what's the problem? :dontknow: I don't see a single thing he's doing wrong.

At the end of the regular season he said he wanted to continue playing full games the rest of the regular season as well, but he underwent shockwave therapy that ended his season. His rehab apparently is going well so he can start to play again within too soon, so he's saying he wants to play in the Olympics again.

What's wrong with that? Should he say he doesn't want to despite him getting healthy again?

I'm not sure saying he doesn't want to or can't play in the Olympics an then actually playing would be a whole lot better. Not playing at all despite being healthy probably wouldn't be that good for his rep either, after all it's the Olympics. It's not just some summerleague or something.

I couldn't tell you much about how smart they are, but I know there sure are a lot of ugly players in the NBA. Maybe the league should implement an attractiveness minimum, too.

Calvin Booth would disagree.

So would every white big man from the 80's.

Wade's doctors told him he needed to stay of the court about a month. Olympics are still a few months away. I don't see the problem.

We dont need Wade anyway.. Kobe is our SG, so I dont see why we need him.. His game isnt good for the olympics anyway, all he does is drive to the hoop and flop.. Probably wont work with International refs..

I dont see a how its a big deal? There was no slavation and I think I remember someone on the organization even stating on TV that the reason for timing of the surgery was specifically for the Olympics.

Hahahaha, I dunno, but whenever I think of white 80's big men, Kurt Rambis and Greg Kite come to mind first.

What about Yao?

Out for season but will be back exactly in time for practices with Team China! Yay!

He doesn't give a crap about how Houston does. Look at him on the bench barely cheering for anyone. Does anyone else think he's able to play but chooses to rest only for the Olympics?

As long as they fall out of the top 2 its ok. If they get Rose or Beasely i'd be worried about them, not nearly as worried about OJ Mayo.

I think Wade's game is actually a very poor match for the International Game.

His shot is too streaky and he thrives more on one v. one play as opposed to the team game. He also fails to get the calls he gets at the NBA level -- I'll let you guess why that is . . .

I thought he was probably our worst player a few years ago yet he seemed to get consistent big minutes. For the magic, its probably a good thing if he participates in the olympics but I'm not certain its a good thing for team USA -- there are 3-4 players I'd probably rather have in that slot above D Wade.
