YES - Spurs win!
God, that game was just absolutely fantastic
Big-time performances and plays on both sides
Awesome, awesome team win by us
Tim Duncan was the damn man, one of his best games for sure
Obviously an immediate classic, and NBA TV, ESPN Classic, should cnacel whatever filler is on right now and start playing this game a few times in a row
Terrific effort by Phoenix, for most of the game, it was looking like they really had it - but were not able to put us away!
Similar to game 5 in 07, in that way, except this time Diaw/Shaq/Amare were in the game

Incredible game....instant classic.
Don't take it the wrong way, but I think (definitely in regulation) we lost it rather than you won it. Freak shot by Duncan, and the miracle from Finley....you guys are a big, fat hairy monkey and we don't have enough bananas to get you off it seems ;(
Game 2 will be awesome
Cheers and good luck....SO FRUSTRATING watching us fritter that lead away

Miracle? It was off a pick from Oberto, and Barbosa didn't get to Finley trailing him, and Amare failed to help and come to Finley.
It was a set up play.
Who knows how it would of gone if Amare did help out.
A miracle is more like the last two shots against the lakers in 04 (Duncan and Fisher shots).

God, what an amazing way to kickstart the playoffs! I don't know if I can take many more like this one, LOL. So many heartstopping moments, from Finley's 3, to Duncan's 3 (!!!), to Nash's 3 and then finally Gino's game-winner...incredible.
I was afraid that our stagnant offense in the start was going to send us to an early grave, but once we figured out their defensive schemes we could pretty much score at will. Good knowledge to have as we move forward.

Absolutely (regardless).
jjj wrote:Bah, the only miracle about that Fisher shot is that the gods prevented the clock from starting for a good 2 seconds. Thus giving Fisher time to toss it up.
Of course, I kid. I was sore then but it's water under the bridge now.
haha, yeah..

Honestly, if I'm the Suns front office., if they lose this first round series to us... I'm giving D'Antoni a long and hard look this offseason. That team has a lot of talent, but a lot of the games they lose are due to being out-coached.
Speaking of coaching, I hope Pops drills into Duncan, Thomas and Oberto's heads that it is not necessary to double up on Nash each time he drives. 75% of the time he's looking to pass and not to score. Also, the other players need to learn when to leave their man to help out on that play. I'd rather take the chance on the 3 than give the easy dunk / layup.
