Not sure if you all remember the kid but heres the article.

Kinda sad he didnt have a good enough ACT score to play for OK State but I'd still consider him with one of our 2nd rd picks if we decide not to keep Gomes. Anyone else still think he has a shot to be a productive player?

I wouldn't be upset if we took a flyer on this kid. We need the best big available with our 1st pick in the 2nd round (Dorsey, Hardin, etc) and we could use our second pick on this guy (although, I think I would rather select Walker if available). Stash him in the D-league for a year and see what happens.

Brumbaugh was arrested six times over a 26-month span and also served two jail sentences, but he says he's learned from his mistakes.
Not a chance. Stay away from our team.
I agree in the second we should get the best big available with the 1st pick and then a gamble with the second (current mock draft where we have dorsey and ibaka makes sense) but Character is still important here.

Not that it makes a big difference.. What was he arrested for? Sorry if it said in the article. I didn't continue reading after they first mentioned that he had been in trouble (probably not what the Wolves are looking for).

meh take a flyer sign him to some cheapo 2nd rnd pick 3 year deal, send him to the dleague or w/e and see what happens.
Very Low risk, high reward.
The worst that happens i he never sees floor time for the wolves(typical for a 2nd round pick in the nba)
Best thing that happens is he contributes and you bring him up or is a valuable trade piece after blowing up in dleague or w/e.
I'm pretty lax on people who make mistakes, especially when they are under 20. Hi run ins could provide him with extra drive and incentive, you cant jut say OH HES TROUBLE. Plenty of learning experiences and unlike lots of repeat offender he has a valued kill in being able to play ball. He has a way out, and maybe as he's grown up he's realized this. Take him at a discount and see what happens. meh

I think influence is just as important. I think we draft players who have winning experience in order to influence a lockeroom. We got rid of players who could be considered bad attitudes (besides Shad, but I think it is different for him) taking a flyer on a guy has no effect on minutes or roll, but his attitude could influence the team.
Now, if in personal interviews and in talking to people it is legit he has changed (I believe people can change) then of course we grab him.

Looks like he was the passenger in a car that fled from the police. The car had misc automatic guns, was stolen, had a shirt that said POLICE on it. He resisted arrest "without violence", may have been drugs in the car I've seen conflicting reports when I googled it.
Also, I never found anything about him being found guilty of anything. DEtails on him seem to be not all there regarding these matters. I think someone would need to look at a local paper/court records to get an accurate representation of what he actually did etc.
On a side note. You'd think the kid worked out a ton in jail! But hes listed at 6 '9 and 205 in the article. Found some clips of him in HS, looks pretty quick/explosive.

Here is a video.
He doesn't look challenged at this level. I personally think he would be worth the risk. How many 2nd rounders have this much upside? There is not such thing as a sure thing second round.

I am an advocate for gambling with one of the 2nd rd picks. Personally, i would rather gamble on Ibaka, but if in the interview process we do not think Brumbaugh is a character risk and that he has changed then I am cool with it.
