So I found this on the Blazers board and thought it kind of pertained to the possible move and about things that are at least in the relm of possibility.

In 1975 the Celtics were bought by a dude who wanted to relocate a franchise to southern California. Obviously, the Celtics were going nowhere, while the Buffalo Braves had changed hands several times and were having difficulty moving from Buffalo. Eventually, a deal was reached in 1978 with the majority owner of the Buffalo Braves to, essentially, trade franchises. All properties related to the Celtics (players, records, the rest) stayed in Boston and all Buffalo Braves properties moved to San Diego, but the NBA franchises associated with each changed hands.

The deal was brokered by the NBA's lead counsel, David Stern.

I hear ya Det I don't like the idea of any team moving but the reality is the Hornets could very well be coming to a cross roads. In the same way the Sonics are coming to a cross road. Sucks for all of us but it is heading at us.

But if you have a Championship caliber team and can't draw 14,00 people something may have to give.

You think if the Hornets were in Seattle and even though the Key is small they might be able to draw more than 14,000 fans?

So hypothetically if Shinn does decides to up and move where is he going to go?

Isn't Bennett's grand scheme to bring the NBA to OKC? Well last I looked the Hornets are an NBA team or is Clavid only happy if the Sonics are the team that gets up rooted.

Seriously though if the Hornets decide to move in 2009 where are they going to go?

If the deal above was brokered by Stern maybe the cross roads the Sonics and the Hornets are on might meet up at the same place.

I hope that the city and the Sonics can work something out, without the Hornets going anywhere but this senario is possible.

What if Ballmer gave Clay way too much money and the Okie's make a good chunk of change for putting us through hell and then they buy a piece of the Hornets? Stranger things have happened.

I am so fed up with the NBA at this point. I want to make Clay bleed. I want the courts to enforce the lease and the city to make these next two years as uncomfortable as possible for Stern and Clay. I don't want another team--I want THIS team. I'm through with the NBA when this team moves. Even if we do get another team. Why should I continue to support a league that doesn't support me as a fan? This whole situation has made me feel totally dirty and vengeful over the past two years.
