How many blazer games did you see all season? It's a common mistake among posters who discredit Roy's game to only look at the stats. Once they see him play they always say how impressed they are with him. So I'm just gonna assume you haven't seen him play as much. And your list pretty much stinks. You're out of touch in regards to who was better this year.Scalabrine wrote:Roy does not have to be top 5, your reasons are quite silly, saying that he lead a Oden-less Blazers is stupid because he hasnt played a game, The Randolph-less Blazers meant that Aldridge could get more minutes and he fits in better with the rest of the team. Roy was an All Star because he had a great 15 game going into the All Star voting, there were several players that deserved it more than him in both conferences not just the West, not to mention that the All Star Game selection is an absolute joke. Roy is a great young player and just in his second year, but your reasons have no weight to them.
Kevin Martin has also been sick all this season and last but he missed over 25 games this season, since this is a list of ranking for this season putting a player who has missed that many games over a player that has played all season with similar stats wouldn't really be sticking with my criteria that I based the list on. I hope you understand, its also why Wade is so low.

He's deff behind Kobe, AI, T-Mac, Ginobili....but I'd also rank him behind RIP, Allen, K Martin and Brandon Roy....possibly a cpl others too.
Lol Joe Johnson behind Ray Allen and Rip Hamilton?
Yeah ok. Joe Johnson generates a helluva lot more attention than those guys on those loaded teams.
Have you seen what Joe Johnson has been doing lately? Guy was close to finishing season with B2B EC Player of the mOnth.
Neither one of those guys would be leading the Hawks anywhere near the post-season regardles of how sorry the East is

absolutely, if he played for a team other than Atlanta people would realize that but since noone pays attention to them he is flying under the radar, Johnson is a solid SG all around.

Tell Monta to watch Tony's teardrop and Rip hit the midrange J and run many teams shooting guards ragged on TV for the next few weeks and maybe next year I'll see the Tony/Rip all in one comparison.
BTW He needs to grow a few inches over the summer also because I just don't see him stopping any shooting guards from elevating over him when he is forced to play half court D.
I said he was essentially them combined. When did I say he was better than both of them combined???

Do I really need to backup my shaking head after quoting a guy who said that Monta is the best in the league at many important SG aspects?
I only said Monta was a very talented scorer. I never said anything about his defense or his playmaking. As a matter of fact, his defense and playmaking need to be improved, as Baron always has to guard opposing 2s or 3s because of Tay's inability to guard them. But as far as being a talented, efficient, and versatile scorer, he's up there with the elite. His speed and midrange shot are also elite. It's no stretch to say he'll eventually be better than Rip in that aspect.

farzi wrote:So Wade playing half of the season and winning a league worst amount of games is still enough to get him into your top 5?
Can you honestly say any of those guys after Wade is better than him? In fact, can you replace Wade with any one of those guys and have a better Miami Heat this season?
