Americans coaches are so overrated...there are so many european coaches better than this useless NBA coaches

The problem with that I would imagine is that he can make Head Coach type money in Europe especially at somewhere like CSKA where money doesn't matter,so why come to the NBA and get paid less and have a lot less influence and responsibility for the team.

I think the chance to compete... But David Blatt can come here and make things shake up. Once again, I think the Knicks would be a good place for him. I think that CSKA and Team Russia would be looking to match whatever he is to be paid by any NBA team.

Just curious, not hating by any means.

I was wondering why people are so high on David Blatt. I mean, he's only coached overseas. What would make him such a good NBA coach? The NBA is a whole different story.

Sam "I'm not a coach" Mitchell is actually coaching at NBA level... and won the COY Award... it tells a lot about the NBA itself. :roll:

Could very well work. The NBA is known as a players league, Blatt is known as a players coach. He learned many years from Israeli headcoach Pini Gershon, who stands for fast-paced basketball a little bit reminiscent of what a lot of NBA teams play imo.

It is being said that a lot of European coaches run their team like a boot camp (especially coaches from the Balcans), and even if that might be a bit exagerrated (well, in some cases maybe not), high discipline is without a doubt the key. Take a bad shot, and you'll find yourself on the bench the next moment, even if it goes in. That is why I don't see Messina, let alone Obradovic in the NBA in the near future. Two worlds colliding.
