The playoffs are here, who do you like?

The West

#1 Lakers
#8 Nuggets

#2 Hornets
#7 Dallas

#3 Spurs
#6 Suns

#4 Jazz
#5 Rockets

I'll take the Lakers, the Hornets, the Suns and the Jazz.

The (L)East

#1 Boston
#8 Atlanta

#2 Detroit
#7 Philly

#3 Orlando
#6 Toronto

#4 LeBron James
#5 Wizards

I'll take Boston, Detroit, Orlando, LeBron James

Second round

West
#1 Lakers
#6 Suns

#2 Hornets
#4 Jazz

East
#1 Boston
#4 LeBron James

#2 Detroit
#3 Orlando

I want to take the Suns but I'm going to go with the Lakers. And I'll take the Jazz over the Hornets.

Boston over the one man show known as LeBron James and four other guys. And Detroit over Orlando in a 6 games series.

Western Conf Finals
#1 Lakers
#4 Jazz

Eastern conf finals
#1 Boston
#2 Detroit

I'll take the Lakers over the Jazz in 7 games.

Boston over the Pistons in 7 games too.

So my finals look like

Lakers vs Boston

Probably the sexy pick the NBA is hoping for. I want to pick the Jazz but I'm not a Memo fan. I want to pick the Hornets but they are too young. I'd like to see Orlando upset Detroit but the Pistons have too much experience and have a great TEAM.

So I couldn't really justify any other team getting past the Lakers or Boston.

So my finals Boston in 7 games. KG MVP, with Ray hitting clutch buckets.

Sorry I slacked on the breakdown but I'm tired and I wanted this done before tomorrow morning.

Do I root for SA against PHX so our pick is better? Even though I don't really like SA and I love PHX. oh boy. :(

While Lakers and Celtics is a strong possibility, it's hard to write off the Spurs. Tim Duncan doesn't go out quietly and they have too many people who can make plays and big shots.

To be completely honest, I have completely tuned out the NBA (Which I am sure the BOG uses this statistic against the fans of the sonics)

I didn't think the picks can change anyone more once we hit the playoffs?

Looks like former Sonic Rashard Lewis wents nuts in Orlando tonight. I didn't watch the game. I haven't really watch very much of the playoffs.

I do have to say the young Hornets are looking very composed.

By the way anyone recall how I have said that typically bigs don't mature into their games until they are around 25? Well Tyson Chandler is a perfect example of that. Last season and this current season he has really become one of the better defensive centers in the league. He has no offense but he can sure play D and rebound the ball. Heck I think all his points come from Alley-oops.

Still two years ago Chicago let him go for Ben Wallace. Basically 14mil for a guy who was 32 years old and was hauling in 7pts and 11rebs. Chandler at the time was 24 years old and was bringing in 5pts and 9rebs.
Chandler is making around 11mil a year.

That's a whole lot of money for a guy who was/is on the wrong side of 30 and is basically only giving you 2 more boards a game. And the guy you are letting go is a few years away from his prime.

I'd love a guy like Tyson Chandler on the Sonics. I don't doubt Chris Paul helps his game but I'm thinking a guy like Derrick Rose could probably help his game out some too.

I'd like to say how happy I am for Brian Scalabrine.

Image

After all he is a local home grown boy from Enumclaw.

I was just wanting to point out how he dominated the chair he was sitting on during the playoffs.

Image

Seriously look at that domination. Nice!

Image

Tell me you are not jealous of his dashing good looks and the game that matches.

Image

And I thought the "perfect push up" designed by a Navy Seal was clever.

Image

Nice to see he is keeping true to his West Coast roots.

Congrats Brian you're on "TOP OF THE WORLD!"
