10 million for 5 years for Reilly
I have no link for Simmons but I'm sure he pulls in a mill easy considering how popular he is and that he lives in a nice neighborhood in LA with a stay at home wife and two toddlers.
What are your opinions on Stephen A smith?

I wouldn't say he doesn't know anything. I feel like he actaully knows a lot, but his gimmick (being loud and obnoxious) are what keeps him on TV. Same w/ the 1st and 10 guy (i can't think of his name right now). ESPN has plenty people who know what theyre talking about...they need different personalities.

YES! Skip Bayless...thank you for that
But yea...seriously i do think that both skip and sas have intelligent thoughts...its just that those thoughts don't come out cuz tv ratings wouldn't be as good.
I mean...we've got a thread about how SAS and how we dont like him. But we're still talking about him. We have so many of these. Any publicity is good publicity.
Imagine someone new joining the boards who didnt know who SAS was and saw all this. He'd want to go watch him and hear him for himself.

One of the funniest ones was on draft day during the Zach Randolph/Francis trade. He was ranting and praising Isiah for getting rid of one of those "BIG contracts" and just kept going on about it. The funny thing is that Randolph's contract is much worse, Francis' actually would've expired after next season.

His arguments basically center entirely around what superstars teams have--that is unless he can find a big white guy to call "sowuft" and say "No team could eva win that has RA-SHO NE-STER-O-VIC!"

I could see why some meeker people might feel intimidated or whatever by his attitude and if you are one of those people you should just read him columns. I think his basketball intelligence comes across better in his columns myself. So what if he screams? I find that more entertaining then listening to Bill Simmons sound like a 12 year old going through puberty confessing his man crushes for Nash, Kevin Durrant, and KG whil making stupid conspiracy theories and obscure references to some 80's flick no one has ever seen. The SAS gimick is supposed to be thatit sounds as if he's talking with friends at a water cooler or a barber shop or something. When you guys talk about something you feel passionate about do you whisper? Please forgive a man for showing some compassion abou something he cares about. People act as if SAS says stuff far crazier then what we get on these boards all day. If SAS posted on RealGM you wouldn't notice him. Bosh is soft? Okur folds under pressure? Such new ideas!
BS > SAS.
