Great ball by LO and Gasol, they are both playing near perfect, we are wining by 2 at the half without Kobe, or even worse, with a crappy Kobe, so turning him on 2nd half should be enough to win this game, lets hope so.

Lot of basketball left, let's not bury him yet! We might need him, you know.

18/7/5, cool first half by Gasol. Hopefully Kobe will shake that cold off in the second quarter.

Im not surprised by LO's good first half. Stat wise he has been the best laker in the playoffs for the last 2 yrs. In saying that I dont care if Kobe goes 1-15 from the field him being on the floor is imparitive. The Defense is locked in on him....not Gasol, not LO but on Kobe. His presents opens the game up. This really shows that our best player can have a bad first half and we can still lead the game. This is now a TEAM effort, not the Kobe show.

Just miserable defense in the second quarter. Same 'ol, same 'ol. Can't keep anybody in front of us and everything crumbles.

Not a bad offensive first half with the exception of the end of the first quarter and the first half of the second quarter when our offense when stagnant. Kobe is not playing like an MVP, luckily Odom and Gasol is taking his slack. Having 3 fouls isn't helping him either, but Kenyon is defending Kobe very well. Seems like guys with length gives Kobe a hard time such as tayshuan Prince.

AI missing five FT's in that first half is also helping us otherwise we would be trailing at the half.

Hope we pick up the defense in the 2nd half. I am pretty sure AI will make all his FT for the duration of the series and their offense is too explosive so our guys cannot go stagnant anymore.

Can you calm down for a sec? He's having a bad game and the defense is focused on him. Other than a couple of defensive lapses, he hasn't been playing that bad. His shot just isn't falling at the moment.

We are up and that's all that matters for now.

That's a good way to look at it. A lot of things went their way, and we're still up.

acutually...most of gasol and odoms points are not coming from kobe...its acutally coming from putbacks and the feeds gasol is getting from odom and walton
