I'd blame the guys who continue to talk about how good we are and how easy the nuggets will be.

Its funny seeing anyone being cocky who will do nothing but sit in front of a television tomorrow.

You have no control over the game, you can't back up a single word.

Be humble.

How about blaming it on the actual (lack of) player performance? Or giving credi to the Nuggets if they come out and impress the world?

For those people come off cocky and arrogant saying, "We'll win this and that",really don't know ball at all. It's OK to have faith in your team and hoping they win is all good thats what being a fan is all about.

But to go as far as saying we'll be in the WCF and Finals is insane, bottom line is the players play the games fans don't and never will.

Fans need to be realistic and not just blatantly look past a team.Be happy that our team has improved and has a chance to do something that would be special considering the circumstances to start with.

So just sit down and watch because thats all we can do anyway.
Hell half the guys on this board don't know the game anyway.

Yes, its called being a fan .. what else are we suppose to do? That is how the whole.. team + fans thingy that has been going on over the history od sports.

You have no control over the game
why would you assume anyone thinks they have control over the game? Again, this is the fun of being a fan and posting on RealGM and other places. Maybe this fan thing is new to you :dontknow:

LOL - you said.. you have no control over the game... LOL

you can't back up a single word.

I think everyone is different, but I am certainly not going to censor someone for being cocky. I for one am not taking the Nuggets lightly. In my many many years of being a fan of the Lakers , I have yet to take one team lightly. Thats just me.

If others want to be cocky and stay within the rules here.. then thats there choice.

You seem more concerned about generalizing the fan base and being myopic when it comes to your basketball comments then actually being a fan of the Lakers. At least from what I have seen , in your short time here.

RealGm was created as a fan site. These are the types of moments that make this place fun. Playoffs, Series, battles, smack talk within reason etc.. Not your style? ok.... you dont have to participate.

Why would you blame "cocky" Lakers fans, when you've stated yourself that none of us have any control over a game.

if you're sitting at home on your couch, you shouldn't be cocky about anything, like I said you can't back up a single word.

that's what the thread is about, you must be one of the people who talk about what the team will do instead of letting it play out.

just be humble, I thought detriot settled this 4 years ago.

being cocky on other teams' board is disrespectful, and you have told me many times not to be disrespectful. don't take it back now.

I'm not asking you to censor anyone, and I didn't say all of us laker fans are cocky, we have a few who are all over the nuggets board saying its over in 4 or 5. I just think its disrespectful especially when those nuggets' fans are showing our team the upmost respect.

the topic starter is just asking for some class, so am I.

the only people who have the right to be cocky are those going out and playing in the game tomorrow, not us on the couch.

just my opinion

There is a difference between being a fan and violating the rules of RealGM. I would hope you would know the differnce.

Thats not for you or me to decide. That is up to the Mods of the Nuggets board. However, if you didnt know this is a FAN site. Thats the point.

the topic starter is just asking for some class, so am I.

great. The topic starter and you dont speak for anyone else. If a Laker fan is over on the nuggets board being ass.. he doesnt speak for me and how you view the game or want the "fans" to act.. also doesnt speak for me.. so whats your point?

the only people who have the right to be cocky are those going out and playing in the game tomorrow, not us on the couch.

We are fans , dude. You dont have the right to tell me ( example) how I should act. I am not being cocky.. but the point is this is part of being a fan.

Dont dumb it down by saying.. the only people who have the right to be cocky are the players. Nobody thinks they are on the team or will impact the game by 'being cocky" fans can support their team with out your guidelines.

contradiction at its finest.

I guess the only "don't do" is to talk down on kobe.

if you don't agree with what I said, that's your opinion phil.

if "being an ass" on another board is within the guidelines then I wonder how it will be tolerated once an opposing fan comes here.

how is that?

huh? where did this come from?

if you don't agree with what I said, that's your opinion phil.

you are correct! So, you made your point and I made mine.

if "being an ass" on another board is within the guidelines then I wonder how it will be tolerated once an opposing fan comes here.

I dont control other boards so take it up with the other mods.

Noob.. we have been here for years being a fan and dealing with opposing fans. All fans are welcome here as long as they stay within the rules of this site.

..but you dont need to worry about that. Because that is called back seat moderating.

The only fans in the nba that can feel comfortable looking ahead are the chowda heads. They can start analzying how they match up to certain west coast teams in the championship because the east is pathetic.

I have the Lake Show winning it all over the Celts, but this series with Denver is going to be tough. I have the Lakers winning in 7.

O.C. Brandon,

Turn it down a notch, please.

Clearly, you have not read the Lakers Board Rules announcement up top. I urge you to do so, and not to post another word until you have read and understood it all. Thanks for doing that.

Let's stop the whole "you said, I said bs", everyone. Back to topic, let's discuss basketball.

Don't worry Iceburg, though I disagree with your acertation, I enjoyed reading it. As long as Kobe stops trying to be superman and just play within himself and the team we'll be fine this round.

Those were serious guys. 8 technical fouls worth of seriousness.
