I hear Europa saying all the time how he doesn't want to trade Redd for a pick in what is believed to be a weak draft.
I disagree. The faster we can clean house in here and get young talent the better. I also believe guys in this draft could be better than expected, much like the guys in the supposedly weak 2006 draft.
We need to trade Redd ASAP the way Seattle traded Ray Allen to help their rebuild
So this is what I would do with Michael Redd.
Milwaukee trades:
Michael Redd
Charlie Villanueva
LA Clippers trade:
Corey Maggette
Cuttino Mobley
#6 overall pick
I would then trade Mo and Bobby to the Heat for Blount, Haslem, and Dorrell Wright.
Use #6 overall on Eric Gordon, and our own #7 pick on Russell Westbrook.
Sessions/Westbrook
Gordon/Bell
Maggette/Mason/Wright
Yi/Haslem
Bogut/Blount/Gadz
We have rounded up many young talented players, while we get role players like Haslem and Bell locked up for a few years. Westbrook/Sessions/Gordon could be a great backcourt trio in a few years, and Yi/Bogut could be very good upfront. Maggette still has a lot left in the tank, and if does well in his last year of his contract, maybe re-sign him. If not, we have a developing Dorell Wright waiting in the wings.
This is a weak draft. Michael Redd is worth a top 10 pick!

When did I say I wouldn't trade Redd for a pick in a weak draft? I have said I don't like the best part of a Redd trade being a late pick in a weak draft.
You know, as often as you quote my points of view one would think you could at least trip over one I actually made. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile, but you can't find one to save your life it seems.
Nothing will not break me.
