Nice to see the JS has finally decided to start covering the Bucks.

I have a feeling if its not Skiles at this time it will be because Skiles didn't want it to be........an offer you can't refuse is pretty aggressive. The one thing other than possible job openings that might make Skiles turn it down would a be a conversation with his good friend Larry K.. My guess is that Skiles has been promised there will be major changes to this Bucks team.

Looks like Herbie is gonna money-whip his second name this offseason.

I'd much prefer Carlisle or VG. I can't say I know a ton about Skiles.

I'll definitely be happy with Skiles. I like that Enlund included a reminder about his holding the league record of 30 assists in a single game too. How could someone like that abide someone like Mo?

Yeppers (what did I tell you about yeppers).

The JS seems to be right about these things, so I'm under the assumption that Skiles is signed, sealed, and almost delivered.

Yea, the J/S doesn't tend to write stories like this about the Bucks unless they've been tipped off by someone in the organization.

It says a lot about the way the Hammond signing has turned around my view of the franchise that I'm actually a little disappointed that it's Skiles. A year ago, I'd be thrilled beyond belief with Skiles. Of course, a year ago, I thought the Bulls would be in the Eastern Conference Finals this year.

This is bad news IMO......

It's great Enlund is reporting this, since now we know it's fact the way MJS does things.......but I'd like them to report what happened with Carlisle.

Skiles isn't a bad coach.....but I'm not thrilled with this selection.

The tone of the article makes it sound like Skiles is the most in demand of all the candidates currently available. I had heard awhile back that Pat Riley wanted Skiles to replace him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Skiles

That mnWI poster from last night appears to have had the best inside info.......

For me the good news in this is that Hammond is running things....I couldn't see Kohl bringing in Scott Skiles.

I posted a thread with about eight questions regarding Skiles on the Bulls board. No answers yet, but I'd really like to know what the hell happened to that team. Profound, if you're reading, maybe you can offer some incite?

How anyone could be unhappy with Skiles is well beyond my comprehension. Sure, I'd probably rather have Carlisle, but Skiles teams have ALL PLAYED DEFENSE, and all of them have played in the top ten with regards to pace as well, on top of the .530 career winning %.

He's one of the top candidates available, no question.

Skiles meets the three primary criteria I want in the next head coach:

1. He's a proven winner.
2. His teams defend.
3. His teams play hard.

Those are all huge areas of need for the Bucks.

I don't mind Skiles....Carlisle was my first choice but I like Skiles better than Brown and JVG......I totally understand why Mo's fans don't like this...but life is all about change.

Karl's teams played some of the best defense in the league for years in Seattle. You couldn't say that about his teams in Milwaukee or Denver.

You need defenders to play defense.

John Hammond, you know what you have to do.

IMHO, Paxon is a terrible GM, the Ben Wallace signing, the not pulling the trigger on Gasol or Kobe, over valuing his own talent....and the beat goes on.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
