OMG shut up Magic Johnson

Post#1 » by NyKnicks1714 » Mon Apr 21, 2008 3:44 am

When I hear him talk I get that same akward feeling I get when i watch the Miss Teen South Carolina video. Inside the NBA is so much better when he's not there.

I should make a commentator bashing thread, they seem to get more hate than refs now.

As long is the first post is about how bad Tommy Heinsohn sucks, fire it up.

I have to admit, Magic is my basketball idol, but in any kind of speaking role...he's not good. Usually his only contribution is to laugh uncontrollably at Barkley. Oh well, at least he wears really nice suits. Kind of takes the edge off the jive talk.

What's up with all of this hate on commentators? Commentators are the last thing that I think about when I think about basketball. When you go to basketball games, you don't have commentators analyzing every play. You simply watch the game. Why can't people do the same thing when they watch games on TV?

FYP

He's one of my favorite announcers in the league; only the cynics and depressed don't like Bill Walton.

+1

Make sure you add Ric Bucher on it. His anti-Utah comments will get our fanship in there too aswell.

I was a fan of both Magic and Reggie as players, but I dislike both when it comes to analyzing and talking..they annoy me..

And my favorite (speaking about Larry Johnson):

"What a pathetic performance by this sad human being. This is a disgrace to the game of basketball and to the NBA. He played like a disgrace tonight. And he deserved it."
