If you watched him tonight, you know that already.

Dirk was the MVP last year too, shows you how much playoffs matter.

While I agree, it won't happen.

I actually think they're both deserving and should get co-ROY. Durant will get it though because he had more hype.

If the awards were based on the playoffs, CP3 would still have a chance at MVP. If Horford wins it, it will be based on any games in the regular season, nothing in the playoffs.

Like CP3 has no chance at MVP based on regular season?

The knock on Durant has been his FG%. But now its higher then LeBron's and Carmelo's rookie FG%.

He's the ROY, easy in my eyes. Nothing against Horford though.

Durant is the ROY, it's not even a close race in my eyes.

My point is that he has been doing those types of things all year. But no one knows because they haven't seen him.

based on that, kobe lost the mvp title in the first half. and then won it back in the 2nd half.

agreed,

Wins and Losses and playoff success have nothing to do with who wins ROY.

really? are we still having this debate? its not even close. and i really like both horford and scola. but come on, durant was the focal point of the sonics offense and the focal point of the opposing teams defense. AND he got better as the year went on. just because barkley says it's so don't mean it's so. and you want to talk about hype? durant has been under a microscope all season. people were just looking for stuff to criticize him on. but every time i heard someone talk about horford, they were falling all over themselves to praise him. i watched a lot of nba basketball this year, and it just isn't an argument any more.

durant is the ROY. period.

Horford , Scola> Durant

well that is quite an impressive analysis, dabadestalbo69

how did you reach that conclusion?

Yeah give it to KD for racking up 20 PPG and nothing else on a terrible team. I know he had to carry the team, well based on their record how good of a job did he do? Give to a guy that "got better" down the stretch while Horford was a constant all year long.

durant
07-08 SEA 80 34.6 43.0 87.3 28.8 4.3 2.4 1.0 1.0 20.3

horford
07-08 ATL 81 31.4 49.9 73.1 0.0 9.7 1.5 0.7 0.9 10.1

get over it dude. durant put up better numbers. for christ sake, he averaged the same amount of blocks per game as horford.

and enough with the "who played on the better team" argument. the ROY award is all about the individual.

and yeah, give it to the guy who got better over the season as apposed to the guy who was consistent. consistently a little better than average in the numbers he put up. this is not even worth discussing anymore.
