who did the other vote go to
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

It makes sense and works because Parker and Ginobli's game overlap so much. Manu has time to freely operate with the bench guys, without having to share with Parker. And still he's the primary closer and ball handler at the end of games.

Yeah. There should be a rule that you need to have the 6th most minutes played on your team. What's stopping the Magic from starting Hedo Turkoglu on the bench, calling a timeout after the jumpball, and bringing him back in and playing him 36 minutes for the game?
I only chose the Magic/Hedo Turkoglu because it's a player having a breakout season that may not get recognized.
The point stands.

I mean, every team could do this. Some Pistons fans have advocated benching Rip Hamilton and starting Arron Afflalo to provide more defensive intensity. Or starting Jason Maxiell/Amir Johnson and bringing Antonio McDyess off the bench so that he can be the focal point of the second unit, offensively.
Coming off the bench doesn't necessarily make you less than a top 5 player on your team.

Sportswriters vote on the award, and even if it was the coaches that vote it wud be Pop that chose Barbs, not D'antoni (since they can't vote for their own playas, duh)
Congrads to Manu, the only clearcut no brainer award for this year
